Schematics Consumed But Nothing Learned

Who: Uruekto
Server: Hy-Brasil

What is happening: When I salvaged the two furniture recipes “Alchemist Cabinet” and “Stone Mason Table”, the schematics were consumed but I didn’t learn the recipes. I tried logging in and out and also verified my Steam client files. The recipes were not there. Earlier and later I was able to salvage other recipes with no issue. How are these recipes going to get in my list? Are the devs going to place them in there or send me replacement schematics?

I had a similar issue. Open a ticket. Be mindful when learning recipes, SOME of them when you hit salvage, will display “you will learn by salvaging” which means it is one of the bugged recipes. If it says “you will learn small maple end table” or something like that, then it is safe to learn.

Sucks, but I feel your pain. Hope this helps and best of luck with furnishing!

Hi @Uruketo:

Sorry to hear that you are also being affected by this issue, I have opened a ticket to request help with this problem for you a some other players that recently reported with this same issue, I’ll just need you to share a pastebin with your game logs, it will be the most recent file under:
C:/Users//AppData/local/AGS\LogBackups

Thanks!

I would wholeheartedly share the information but no such directory exists on my PC. I have the game installed in my Steam drive (D Drive) but no directly as you have stated exists. I tried looking into the appdata folder and the closest I have is C:\Users(me)\AppData\Roaming\AGS\New World. I am using Windows 10 if that helps.

I have had a ticket in for well over a month. Submitted logs. Talked to several representatives who say “please be patient and follow-up in a couple days”. Heard that phrase a couple few times. This is ridiculous that not only was Furnishing broken (untradable for weeks), and now for well over a month it’s never safe to assume any recipe is safe (database helps but isn’t 100%). Many of us have lost time, gold and hard to find recipes, only to be blown off with no communication on restoration and fixes. I’ve tried finding this on the “known” issues posts, with no luck. @Luxendra
