Season 1 - Gambling Behaviors

Dear Devs, thank you for continuous improvement and work on New World. The Following feedback is to expose flaws and detrimental behaviors that have snuck in with the season 1 update.

The Flame Core Forge:
On paper it is a new mechanic to allow players to roll the dice on potential gear Which is required to partake in the new seasonal dungeon mutations.

Reality is that the forge is literally a slot machine with no oversite or balance safety where the Forge always wins.

To date:

  • a player can earn 10 cores(price for one roll) in 1.5 hours average
  • buy cores from TP for 2000g/10cores (average)

The Issue is that the rolls are completely random and there is no oversite.
The Forge exists to supply equipment for Endgame activities - mutations.

In my case I run a mele build Str/Dex - GS/Spear/Hatchet/ for PVE dps.
My rolls:
flam_ forge_drops

I will never use these items.

  1. Is there no functionality to identify my attribute points and equipped weapons to provide relevant drop to my playstyle/subclass?
  2. What exactly is the purpose of the forge if not to expedite equipment acquisition due to the season being on a time limit and mutations running in a cycle? (EF expedition not in mutations for weeks)
  3. Why does the forge have Resilient perk in the perk pool if it is a PVE mechanic?

The forge is gross! I only use it for the season pass exp
