Dear Devs, thank you for continuous improvement and work on New World. The Following feedback is to expose flaws and detrimental behaviors that have snuck in with the season 1 update.
The Flame Core Forge:
On paper it is a new mechanic to allow players to roll the dice on potential gear Which is required to partake in the new seasonal dungeon mutations.
Reality is that the forge is literally a slot machine with no oversite or balance safety where the Forge always wins.
To date:
- a player can earn 10 cores(price for one roll) in 1.5 hours average
- buy cores from TP for 2000g/10cores (average)
The Issue is that the rolls are completely random and there is no oversite.
The Forge exists to supply equipment for Endgame activities - mutations.
In my case I run a mele build Str/Dex - GS/Spear/Hatchet/ for PVE dps.
My rolls:

I will never use these items.
- Is there no functionality to identify my attribute points and equipped weapons to provide relevant drop to my playstyle/subclass?
- What exactly is the purpose of the forge if not to expedite equipment acquisition due to the season being on a time limit and mutations running in a cycle? (EF expedition not in mutations for weeks)
- Why does the forge have Resilient perk in the perk pool if it is a PVE mechanic?
