Second transfer token or paid transfer when?

You’re right, I didn’t mean to invalidate your post. I love my server and don’t want to transfer out, though the population peak has dropped down to about 500 now (and I’m assuming it will continue). With the merge code in the production client, I guess I’m just optimistically hopeful that merges are extremely imminent. And that’s where my comment was coming from.

If I were on a server that only had 100-200 people, I would be equally frustrated being unable to play this game I love. More power to you in your effort.

When deliberately commenting to undermine the want of a large portion of the low pop server community, when the questions are directed at the community team, which is our direct line to the developers, and is being used as such. You posting saying, hey, they said this.

Well that’s cool. That’s not a good answer, that isn’t a fix. Keep pushing it upwards. Keep forwarding the message. If you shut posts like this down without that following, after 1 or 2 posts it gets ignored and “OMG I Have To Actually Play and Not Zerg Everything Now” posts start getting more attention.

One is a deliberate design change for a good reason. One, is seemingly silly given the technology already exists, without need for PTR testing, or debugging, or more PTR testing, I’ve used it, it worked well, then the server died.

Sadly, this game requires more than 100 people to play. At the base level 100 players fills one war. 100 players have trouble with upkeep. 100 players have trouble doing anything, economy wise, faction wise, town wise. Farming is useless, nobody to buy anything, crafting, unless for personal gain is the same. Essentially negating 90% of the game. Because rather than use a fix that exists, they’d rather try to develop one that doesn’t

And that’s why I find your post to be harassing. Again. If you don’t want to transfer, don’t. But do not deliberately post in a thread made by those of us that do, that we want to make noise, so it’s actually HEARD by the developer so they can invoke a faster method that already works for 99.9999999% of players.

While a forum CSR can’t give me a token, they sure as hell can report. “Hey guys, there are a tonne of people stuck on low pop that really need transfers” Because honestly, we wouldn’t be asking for one if we didn’t want to play, and players is something they really need to think about given the questionable design decisions that drove others away from the game in droves.

Still cannot use my first transfer token due to “active trading order” bug. Thousands of others have the same issue for WEEKS, read the megathread in bugs section. It’s quite terrible really.

What’s genuinely sad is that there isn’t even an ETA on server merges yet, just the really depressing “on the horizon.” Comment.

Which shows an utter lack of transparency. Legitimately all of my friends have quit playing the game aside from a select few and those select few are growing to resent the game because I push them to play it so often. I look like the dumb person at this point saying “there’s no way they could let this happen to their game.” When in reality it seems like it’s just a non factor to the dev’s they’re too focused on introducing new weapons to the game like void gauntlet. (which is cool don’t get me wrong, but maybe prioritize saving the life of your game and getting players on to servers with people.)

The last 2 dev blogs had absolutely nothing to do with server transfers, or merges of any kind. At this point, as sad as it is to say i will probably give it until december, if there’s still not even an ETA (which shows a total lack of transparency) i’ll just uninstall and regret every dime i gave to the game.

If you introduced paid server transfers, not only would your player base be happy because they can actually play with other human beings - but you will make a disgusting amount of money more than likely.

Yeah our server went from peak 500 last week to 300 this week, Im done with NW for now, going to play some other games until server merges happen.

Cant do anything, no one is doing dungeons and no one is doing Elite farms, its just dead.

Yeah same response as for the last weeks. Dont shoot the messenger but it is heartbreaking that there is not even a remotely ETA either for player transfers or for Server merges.

There were way too many servers opened after the initial server queue issue. And this is why they are dying now. As soon as you reach like 400 peak players the exodus of people stopping to play is god awfull. And the endgame content locked behind group plays only makes the exodus of the servers even worse.

They have to learn to understand their own code first. Seems to be difficult. But if they continue like this, they might have only those 10.000 players left anyway.

Paid transfers should be of the highest priority. The game is designed to operate at a minimum threshold of players. This is because regardless of the server and gold being generated in the economy there are a number of things that remain constant across servers: Repair costs being the main one and taxes being the other.

There are servers that have not seen an outpost rush game in 2+ weeks due to the low player count.

So on one server repairing gear can be 50-100x more costly relative to the value of the gold due to the lack of it within a given server. This creates a huge problem.

This makes the game entirely unplayable. I am not a new player either. I have close to a month of in game time and now I am on a dead server because the majority of players transferred off; Including my friends who were under the assumption that there WOULD be paid transfers.

This principal issue does not even touch on the fact that the game has made even more stressful and unplayable for people locked on this dead servers away from their friends. Elites have been buffed to the point that people are unable to do solo content unless it involves manipulating mobs so that they retreat and the player can then loot a chest. NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY THE GAME LIKE THIS.

There should be viable options for solo players if you are going to lock a minority of the players to these dead servers. There were additional things that were put into this update that negatively impacted players on these servers as well, but the main two is the differences in economies/gold coming into servers that can’t even run Outpost Rush, and that all elite mobs were buffed to the point that nothing can be soloed and you need to coordinate a large group of people on servers that average 50-70 players per hour throughout the day.

You are locking players off from joining their friends, neglecting an opportunity to profit through paid transfers, and neglecting profits by causing people to quit the game. I had high hopes for this game and believe it has a lot of potential, but the previous week has been an absolute disaster. I tolerated it because I saw a timeline for merges and paid transfers by the end of the year. However, this post illustrates just how lost and disconnected the team is from a large minority of the playerbase.

There are likely players on large servers who feel the same way and want to transfer to be with friends.

Paid server transfers and viable solo alternatives to watermarking should be two of the highest priorities right now, and paid transfer/merges SHOULD BE THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST.

Good luck, I’ll be back if you guys ever figure it out. I hope you do not feel personally attacked by this because I realize it is not a one person project or decision making process. I still believe there is a lot of potential and the game can be extremely successful. Hope you guys figure it out.

I would PAY today if I could to transfer to a higher pop server. Mine is completely dead.

People should not be advocating for paid transfers. You shouldn’t have to pay to fix AGS’s mistakes. They have free transfers and should let the players fix it themselves. It would be extremely easy for the playerbase to consolidate on 30ish servers. They don’t need merges this game isn’t going to last long term and that’s overly complicated for what it needs to be 6 weeks into launch.

grind those tradeskills while you can.

I am stuck on an empty server but i wont stop grinding everything now that every resource is easy to get.
Cause on the high pop servers you wont get resources easy.
So make the best out of the worst.

They updated us about a day ago by saying that they have no intentions to work on this and it may not come to the game at all.

Specifically; Paid Transfers.

By that sounds of it merges may still happen, but they don’t see at as a priority and have kind of completely disregarded their “Before the end of the year timeline”.

Game is designed to be an enjoyable experience @ a minimum specific threshold of players. Anything under the threshold and the experience is mostly ruined and it begins to become extremely difficult to play compared to Medium-high population counterparts.

I explained this in a lot more detail in one of the previous comments, but this section has been extremely upset since then because there was an update/comment on it saying that it is not a priority to them and they may not see a reason to do it at all.
