- What is your character name in New World: Penneyy
- What server/world did you experience your issue on: Urdarbrunn
- Describe the issue you are experiencing: If you have 2 of the exact same items on your Storage Shed and one is Bound to player the 2nd one isnt and you put the unbound one on auction house the auction house always pulled the “bound to player” item from my storage and left the “Bind on equip” in my storage. It happened on Profession items to me (Chefs, Engineers etc)
- Is this a bug or an exploit: Both?
- (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: It allowed me to sell “Bound to Player” Gear on Auction House
- (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: Yes it happened on multiple Sales
- (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:
- What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Have 2 of the Exact same Gear Items bind one to your player and keep one on Bind on Equip the Auction house always pulled the “bound” item into the auction house for me.
I just tried it with ‘‘harvester gloves Tier V’’ it worked fine. the ‘‘Bound on equip’’ got put to sell and my ‘‘bound to player’’ are still in my storage.
Maybe its going for the Order? When you store the “bound” item first in your storage and the unbound item last so it will choose the first stored item or the opposite last stored item? it 100% used the “Bound” item for me and left the unbound item in my storage shed.
I went to ‘‘sell’’ , selected ‘‘armor or gear’’, i selected my harvester gloves, (only one pair was showing, as its supposed to because one pair is ‘‘bound to player’’), then i chose a price and they were now on AH.
Also since you used harvester gloves they are different did yours have the exact same gearscore? Chefs, engineer etc always have the same gearscore it probably didnt work on your harvester gloves cause different items due to different gearscore.
They’re both the same GS yes
I am only talking about those that increase your crafting yield or crafting gearscore not any gathering luck increase items cause the luck items always have different gearscore and arent the same items.
I sold tons of ‘‘tanner hat’’ and ‘‘tanner shirt’’ never happened to me once
All i can say is i have one “bound” set of all items in the same storage that i am using for auction house sales and when my auctions expired and i added them back to the auction house it added the “bound” items to the auction house the items that been put first in my storage shed. Can record it and post video if it happens tomorrow again.
Maybe it’s because the sell expired ? I am not sure how the game would confuse the ‘‘bound to player’’ items vs the ‘‘bound on equip’’ items. Maybe you were lagging or had a bad connection at the exact moment or wtv. Still a weird bug
A friend just told me the exact same happened to him. He added engineers hat to the auction house and it used the already worn and even dyed hat instead of the fresh unbound one. I would guess the auction house will just track for having 1 of the 2 items tradeable but when you create the sale it will just auto pick the first stored version instead of tracking for which one is actually tradeable?
I have had this happen to me as well. I had several armorers coats and bound one of them to myself to make sure I didn’t accidentally sell it, and as they sold on the trading post I would list another one. I listed and sold the last “I thought” unbound armorer coat and now I have none left lol. I double checked all of my storages.
Bug happened again and i recorded it so the auction house will always just sell the “first stored” item and dont even track which one is actually the not bound item. Did a recording of it as proof so its not just a “random” bug it will 100% always happen.
Can confirm that this also occurs when trading with other players. The Bound To Player version of the item is traded to the other person instead of the Bind on Equip item. Will provide the steps to replicate below, with the item Armorer Gloves, but the item is not important.
To Replicate:
(1) Have Both BtP and BoE Armorer Gloves in inventory.
(2) Trade the BoE Armorer Gloves to another player.
(3) The BoE Armorer Gloves will remain in your inventory and the BtP Armorer Gloves will be gone. The other player will receive a BoE Armorer Gloves.
