Hi AGS, my name is Maximiliano, i’m from Argentina.
I’m actually an active player of New World, Arjuna Server (Fresh Start), from South America.
I want to ask some things and evaluate, in the same thread, the “merging servers” situation.
Actually i’ve a played a lot on a Server that promised to be well populated but it ends in the most empty server in all South America. This was impossible to predict once the server started and i’ve created my character.
Now i have tons of hours invested in a character that is “trapped” in a low population server.
So the questions are:
Why not enable to transfer character from one server to another freely? (Like 2 times at max) I know you evaluate the economies from the servers and evaluate the impact of the merge but we all know the “EndGame” is to play in a high populated server with a lot of quests, PVP, etc. Is it better to lose 200 players (eventually they will quit) than having a little shake in the economies?
Why AGS likes to have 6 servers in SA Fresh Start with 200 people in each one, versus having 2 servers with 600 each? (This is a rounded example).
I know Arjuna is not the only server that is having this “low population issue”, this could be a solution to all servers (btw, Arjuna has only 200 active, and i see people saying they have “low population” in a server with 500 haha).
We can’t. Watch their latest Q&A video. They are convinced they know what they’re doing. They are literally laughing at serious questions from community.
I play arjuna aswell. A few of my friends created characters there and we all thought after the big hype AGS would enable transfers so all the friends that got separated during the first few days with queues and server being created each hour could get back to their friends.
Of course, it never happened and we are stuck in a server that mainly speak spanish (we are brazilians) and most of our friends are scattered in other servers.
Please, we need merge in arjuna ASAP, or at least for you to enable server transfers in the fresh servers so we can start playing in the game in a active server and with population that mostly speaks the same language as we do.
Please, reconsider that stupid decision of disabling transfers among fresh servers.
It is a shame but they appear to be very slow to merge servers to keep player interest since higher population worlds have more available content which keeps people engaged. It seems all the lessons of last year were not learned.
I think this is important to read, for AGS. People didn’t expect this to happen and we have a lot of characters trapped on low pop servers.
I’ve saw the Q&A of the Community and i can see a solid team. They hear the community but they are not noobs that need to do everything the community asks, the are experienced people with a new game.
I hope some dev/AGS staff could read this thread and give us some info about it. I really want to help, not to blame. I love the game and the work they are doing.
