Is it just my server, or does it seem like things are dropping rapidly in price to absurdly low for the resources value. Like what is happening.
On a side note, how are you all making money thus far?
Bots. Market is flooded.

Even if bots didnt flood the market players would. Everyone can and should be selfreliant with the exception of very, very few legendary drops. I dont know who was the brilliant mind behind the games economy but who ever it was, he needs to be sacked.
Since you can’t vendor anything for gold/standing and some stuff cant be salvaged players have three options. Craft something and hold on to it constantly flooding your storage/inventory, drop it or try to undercut the trading post.
The current game you just need to go grind mobs for gold. Its random drops and its the only option right now with the exception of the exceptional rare stuff.
Im more talking in the sense of being able to make enough money to do something like own three t4 houses and afford taxes weekly on all three while being able to also still pay for working on progression (repairs, gear, etc). Even if you can do everything yourself, it wont get you a house if you cant make money.
So far it crashed.
I’m very interested and actually optimistic due to end game outcome of crafting efforts.
I can imagine scenarios where it could turn out well and a great incoming expansion will rise in-game economy.
- I can imagine an expansion that will rise lvl cap slightly and in the same time will provide tones of crafting recipes to non-lootable items.
But yea, so far economy is collapsed.
How do we make money?
Some of us knew it from the beta that how it will be, so we sold everything as fast as possible in the beginning, till it turned out that no one needs crafted gear (and with that mats) since expeditions, and pve in general drops everything.
And now even fishing was disabled,
- fish file has zero value
- fish oil needs in cooking, but chests drops food like a chop house.
- gems has no value (that was the biggest surprise in my eye, but they do not make much difference, maybe that’s why - I wear a bunch of gem slots that I leave empty, it is really not matter)
- gold was banned from fished treasure chest due to some bots. So we have bots, but we lost fishing. So far not well solved if we wanna be honest
Well, my post seems a wining, but actually I’m optimist, I doubt that a such big project as Amazon’s New World will left in the dust, so it will be super interesting how they will save in-game economy
