That is some seriously misplaced optimism but I like it.
‘Got Orun’d’ i’m gonna use that term from now on ![]()
Why would you consider this solution then, to think it’s a bad one?
I was “this” close to do that, leave my account on the shit show Morrow became, then started my company, got great success in building it up, then the merge into Krocylea, and everything became fun again.
But, like many (cuz I have a few in my company), they created another account, and started fresh when I recruited them.
So, it boggles my mind that someone would tolerate a bad world and not create another account because of “achievements” or “non-BIS gear”. Sure, some exception, like a GS625 with BIS in every weapons/armors types. But they are… exceptions.
That’s the only transfer system that should exist. Don’t like your world? Create another account elsewhere.
Lol what?! You’re making a lot of assumptions my dude and not sure how your mind is so boggled.
Again, transfers are healthy and MMOs almost always have a transfer system.
I would like to be able to transfer more often and I’m sure there are more folks out there who feel the same.
You’re suggestion is limited because of the significant grind to reach end game and also you can only have two characters. My suggestion allows you to take all of your progress and take it with you onto other servers and experiences.
Significant grind? NW?
Oh boy. NW is basic relaxing gathering, for a real grinder. There are real grinding games out there, like Rust.
This image, just makes my head spin. Look at these servers… Just turn off Calnogoor… that’s 124 bots… no peak time what-soever.
Calnogor, Silha, Frislandia, Valhalla, Zuvendis, and Eden should be merged into Olympus.
Ys, Pleroma, and Pyrallis should be merged into Yaxche.
Krocylea and Ocenana should be merged into City of Brass
Pluto merged into Ohonoo
Orofena mered into Maramma
Going up from the bottom, this would make every merged world have approximately 1500-1600 active connections during peak times
so why give everyone even on healty server transfer tokens because liked eden was fine till the new round of transfer tokens now it so bad can’t do nothing so sad now i basically have to quit the game because no one is do anything on my server and i don’t want 1000+ on server 700 is fine barley enough nodes on the entire map for 700 people anyway an no i don’t like pvp at all very broken atm no balance wat so ever in pvp in the game and i don’t like contest for orichalcum nodes when u level u skills effectively you have have have to use orichalcum for certain skills like engineering if u don’t use orichalcum u might as well quit or spend 2 mounts gathering for the last 60 levels
I think you’re fooling yourself if you think that new content will get people to return (and stay). We are five months into live, and there are still bugs, core game flaws, mechanics flaws, and balance issues out the wazoo. People who left didn’t just do so because the desert zone was not in, or blunderbuss – and they are not going to return and stay unless there are major changes to the game aside from a new zone or weapon.
Never said how many players or that they would all stick around.
Combat was a big issue but that is being fixed.
I’ll believe it when I see it though ![]()
i have not yet no, but does that mean it’s impossible?
I dont understand how they are okay with servers having 100 people in max pop time slots… its forcing so many people away
Also its not as easy as just using your transfer token. example being me and my buddies were looking for a server to go to, made alts on that server for about two weeks and got to know people. NOTHING indicated ANYONE was leaving. so we used our tokens to go there and the big companies started all going to Orun. Now the server is unbearable and dead and we are completely stuck… you cant do anything at all
I think you’re missing the point entirely, or not wanting to address the underlying question; the issue seems to be that AGS is not being dynamic enough in how its currently managing its server player loads.
If your expecting a big resurgence in players after the next patch, then crack on with that get it on the servers and let’s see how much of a draw it is, on EU Asgard its gone from a reasonable rate to around 180ish a night after the mass exodus of players to EU Barri and EU Midgard so from a group perspective now hardly anything seems to be going on now on Asgard, its all well and good grabbing the available resources in anticipation of things getting better but there is only so much of that you can do before you get fed-up and don’t bother to logon anymore.
Communications the key tell the players what’s going on, what’s planned, and where we are going in the future, this seemingly constant “it’s all fine keep going” mentality is getting a tad thin.
Merging servers is a double edged sword. There are nowhere near enough high level resource nodes to support a medium-high to high population server. I hope they keep this fact in mind and add it to the calculus when considering merges.
@Kay
Do you guys also consider the fact there are nowhere near enough high level resource nodes to handle a medium-high to high population server when doing the math on what servers to merge?
You merged servers based on your “metrics” but then provided free transfer tokens that undid whatever metric changes you just implemented rofl. In terms of my server, the server is back to square one, everyone left! After the two server merges, things were pretty good…now, everyone left. You guys just can’t seem to get out of your own way. If there’s a “master plan” please share, because none of the players understand what you’re doing.
I was in the same boat so my company decided to transfer. Mid company transfer it got locked, so my company is completely split up. This is outrageous
That might be a realistic approach given the trend of this game since launch, but I feel that’s way too restrictive for if/when things do bounce back with the population. I think aiming for a 1k pop peak is right for now, as that’s enough population to have regular wars, multiple OPR, win invasions, keep most/all towns upgraded decently, etc.
You also have to consider that not everyone needs a jampacked server for constant PvP, pushes, etc. I’m in one of the lowest pop servers on the list and I’m pretty sure most of the people still on the server enjoy a little PvP, but they mostly like to just gather, run expeditions, etc. This might be what they were getting at when they said they weren’t going to do any merges too soon, and they want people to split up based on what their focus is.
That said, what they NEED to do is manage ways to keep territory upgraded. I’m mostly enjoying my dead ass server to be constant gathering and I’m still running plenty of expeditions for friends, but in another week or two dead companies in charge of territories and invasion losses most likely will remove a lot of the T5 stations on the map, and at that point the game begins to become unplayable for me. Without OPR I don’t have tons of azoth to travel around to the final remaining stations, I’m going to rarely get lifestyle buffs (the only big 3 owned by an active company is one I do not have a house in). If they could bend upkeep on territories to be tweaked by total transactions in a period or something so that outskirt territories on dead servers could still afford things that would go a long way to assisting these dead servers stay afloat.
But good chance I will be leaving the server that managed to get merged into both times in the next week or so. Just trying to figure out where to head to.
so the question is as follows; When will the new wave of transfer be?
the Friesland server is dying, there was a huge migration they went to Steel Castle, there is no pvp, there is no one who wants to do opr just farm and everything BECAUSE there are almost NO PEOPLE IN THIS DEAD SERVER, there are more npc than literal people! Personally, I have spent a lot of money in the game buying in the store, if at least they put the transfer tokens for sale, I would buy several (I would leave Friesland or as we call it DeadLandia) I would take several friends to a LIVE server, that is with an optimal population level, that the pop for pvp arise as in Steel Castle at least… the community that remains in Friesland is sad and very frustrated with this matter to the level that many left or no longer play NW se they went to WOW, SWTOR, final fantasy or whatever they played before because they got tired of the same sad story that there is much less population than a few days ago and that there were already few of us. Now it’s a shame to enter “DeadLandia” to waste time. THERE ARE NO PEOPLE, AT LEAST VALUE AND RESPECT THE FACT THAT WE BOUGHT THE AMAZON GAME “NEW WORLD” AND WE ARE STILL STALLED ON A DEAD SERVER, SHOW RESPECT TO THOSE WHO STILL SUPPORT YOU…
THANK YOU.
