The territory income changes introduced a flat rate for taxes, and removed income in zones that don’t have maximum upgrades. I have created a spreadsheet that maps out the minimum server income requirements in order for zones to break even, which comes out to roughly 3M gold. What I mean by this is the entire server must generate 3 million in revenue for any zone, at any upgrade, to make the same amount of gold it is required to pay in taxes. If this is not met, every zone is met with constant downgrades, less income, and operates at a significant loss.
I have estimated based off multiple servers income to population ratios that you need 900~ peak players in order for a server to make over 3M gold comfortably. Otherwise, the new territory profit changes introduce an infinite loop downward spiral. Can’t afford territory tax → territory downgrades → territory makes less gold → repeat. This means whenever a server is at or around 1,000 pop they need to be merged immediately. I’m actually amazed Amazon hasn’t done the math here. Servers should be at 1.5-2k peak pop minimum in order to maintain incentive to territory ownership.

No more merges. If they do merge don’t merge to larger than a 1000/2500 server. Some of us are perfectly content with the low pop or medium pop servers.
In the old territory income setup, sure, but if they want to keep lower pop servers they need to change the territory income system. I’m not against low pop servers. I’m against the new territory upkeep/income changes in combination with low pop servers. Currently you cannot have both. So, they either need to merge servers, or change territory income/upkeep.
they get millions for full upgrade they are saying you want to full upgrade to make your money you have to invest your own money and your time not just have it given to you anymore 30 people running gen 3 times making 500 coin each that 45k in like max the entire week 2 hours go do something to keep the server healthy besides pressing withdraw on company treasury because that all you worried about clearly that not even including what you have made the entire week just people being lazey because they been catered for too long
