Last I heard this was coming soon. My server has declined from a peak population of over 2k (long queues) to less than 250 a day.
Should I move myself to a different server now or wait to see news on merges?

I used the free server transfer finally.

Alot of us are in the same boat. I am waiting for the merges and then if there is still a decrease in population, I will seek out other servers.
This is what my husband and I are doing now. Peak times our server is at about 190-275 people.

The fact that new world has not released more info on this is ridiculous. I see so many twitter posts, forum posts, reddit posts on this and they never say anything. The reason the game is still losing so many players is because people are tired of playing on dead servers. You would expect a company like Amazon games to be more transparent seeing how this is the only game they have that has a chance and they ignore the most important questions.

Im saving my transfer after merges just in case. My server is like 600-700 in peak so still playable tho.
600-700 peak does seem to be the minimum viable server size. My server was there a couple weeks ago, but now it’s down to about 350 peak. With 350 peak you can’t realistically get an Outpost Rush going (since probably only 40 of the 350 are Level 60) much less a proper war, the economy breaks down (because there’s not enough demand for niche items to make high-end crafting worthwhile), and quests become very difficult (because you’re in each quest area alone, rather than having other people in the area also suppressing mobs). The only good thing is: you can gather to your heart’s content.

I think around 1k players is a good number given the size of the world. At 250 it’s hard to get an instance
