I always thought server transfers were a cheap cashgrab from AGS that also helped RMT and people funneling resources from small servers.
Transfers should have been seasonal only, not freely available to Africa’d small servers and sell big later.

Who spends real money to server hop to buy and/or sell virtual items?
Lmao, I feel like people who abused this are now coming out and fear mongering.
I can’t imagine that paying $15 to get a better price on mats is worth it for gold sellers, but if that’s who this stops then I’m all for it.
If it’s just people with lots of IRL cash who are min/maxing…ya, I don’t care about them or their problems with this change.
Its the same as people spending real money to buy in game gold. Plenty of degenerates do it.
U are completely wrong!
It only fix servers instability! No more companies who move on a server to claim easy/free territory and when get owned few times making drama and transferring away. This is damaging the whole server activity and population, not just a random guy who wanna buy a bis item.
It also slower down gold selling. As now characters will take longer time to transfer and once transferred will have to wait another 30 days.
Who is rich enough to transfer with more than 500k gold and pay 2 transfer tickets will sort out something themselves. Dont need to ‘pity’ them. They can easily start crafting and help their server market with their ‘not needed crafts’ - or just wait and pay more on their own server for the item they want.
Overall changing transfer ticket cooldown to 30 days, something that more people asked from the beginning, its a GREAT AND AMAZING change!!!
its a good thing imo. trading outside your world was never as intended.
If the economy needs server transfers to live, then it needs to die.
disagree

what’s rmt?
Real Money Trading
Ohhh haha na I stay away from that junk. It’s easy to make money in this game - just craft one BiS piece and you’re all set. I sold a heavy chest for 1.2m a few months ago…looks like ever since golden scarabs launched though prices crashed hard ![]()
so you swap servers for 30$ and you telling me that you doing it only to get gold in this game?
As mentioned in the video, I never transferred to a different server myself to sell an item. Even if I did, it’s trading an in-game item for in-game currency, which is called trading. That’s why it’s in the game. That’s literally what the trade feature is…
man, just at the begging you said you are one of guys switching servers to sell item to people on other servers xD
Listen again my man
Mules service should’nt exist.
This system should not be allowed, economy should have to be only per server.
For me mule services always felt a bit like pay to win. You invest real money for server transfer (which is cheap af in some regions, Turkey f.e.) to gain ingame currency. That’s pay to win in my opinion. So I like this change too esp. with regard to Yueying’s point as well.
30 days seems excessive, and adding it to the existing cooldowns of the poor bastards who transferred pre-patch is pretty cruel. I’m an Aussie and went and played on Yggrasil for a bit over a week with some old friends from WoW before heading back to my Australian server. There’s no way I’d be doing that if I had to wait a month to get back.
