I currently have one character on us west and have been trying to transfer a character from us east to us west for weeks now. i have heard people having the same issue going from west to east and they said they were able to fix by deleting their ptr character as that was counting as a slot in that region for their account. i have never played the ptr but when i checked steam to possibly download i read “last played august of 2021.” this has me wondering if my beta character that i played on us west is counting as one of my us west slots. unfortunately, there are no us west ptr servers so no way to access a character screen to see if i have an active character. is anyone else stuck on us east and unable to go west due to this problem? if so did you play the beta on a us west server? i have a ticket for this issue that is weeks old but they never get back to me. when i tried asking “support” in a direct conversation if this was a possible reason they responded with “your ticket is being worked on…you will be notified when we have a solution”

I’m really sorry about the issue you’re having with the character transfer, in order to address this issue we usually advice to create a ticket, since you have already created a ticket I would recommend you to create another ticket to request an update on the previous one you opened, as well please make sure to add the DxDiag and Gamelogs through a sharing link from a Cloud Storage like Google Drive to the request, you can pull it following this steps:
DxDiag report:
- Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
- Click on dxdiag.exe.
- When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.
GameLogs:
- Game logs can be found on: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\
