I actually thought people were making this shit up. I can see where this can be left for interpretation but if it really was the answer to our questions and they choose to roll back on it… people will be upset but im sure most will get over it.
So they can make there new characters on another server and they you can transfer later to that one?
They only loose a few days of progress…

Not all worlds on US West were locked, my server hasn’t been locked or full for that matter since day 1
Some of you guys sound like frequent twitter users. Why don’t you go find that tweet and ask Amazon directly what they meant.
And like I said, none of us have the will to do that. It doesn’t solve the issue NW created by making a false statement that you can transfer to ANY server.

The original post of the thread was from NW talking about launch status and server transfers. The person responded to NW asking them if they could switch their character from an EU server to US. NW account responded saying, yes, you can move between regions if you would like.
No, they were not talking about having a toon on EU and US and switching between them
because that was not within the context of the conversation. The thread was specific about transfers.
First they never said that.
Second they will be releasing the actual information at some point and let all you guys know who had these “friends” make characters on all these different servers for some reason.
Any in your region. I feel like that’s just common sense and it seems the majority of players know this.
Why would anyone who wanted to play on NA servers start on EU? That makes no sense

The rest is about opening new servers and expanding the servers CAP bro. You are just so worked up and upset every word in that post is TRANSFERS to you, when it only appears ONCE.

i agree this is bad on amazons part, but as a veteran mmo player it was pretty obvious there would be no transfers between regions… i myself started on a different region and spend 50 hours on that account but soon realised there will not be any region transfers so i restarted on the correct region.
i also got baited by amazons poor wording but as an mmo player… how often do u see mmos with region transfers? (mmos similiar like this one with server locks), not even WoW has it… so i was pretty confident new world wouldn’t either…
See those arrows. The part where is says “We know its important to play with your friends” if you are on US-W why would your make believe friends go create toons on US-E? It doesnt make any sense why they would do that.
Because there are other MMO’s where you can transfer between regions maybe? There is no clear specification that the transfers are region-specific anywhere on those two statements where they should have.
Just the fact that they promised transfers this week and it’s now Friday and we have no updates on the situation is really concerning.
Do you guys think we will be able to transfer to “locked” servers?
I have like 20 friends who play in a server and I want to join them but the server is locked atm.
We are 4 guys who want to join our friends in that server!
I don’t mind queues, I just want to be able to play with my friends, they are IRL friends not Internet friends!
This is unacceptable, I had to make a character on US East becouse Europe servers where full now you are saying I can’t play in my region with my friends unless I make a new character ? Shame on you Amazon
New World devs, please allow for cross region server transfers so we can play with our friends. We were locked out of servers at launch and were forced to create characters on other regions and servers because the communication you put out led us to believe it would be ok to do so. This would be an easy opportunity to win your users over by doing the right thing.
