Many games allow you to turn off the shadows in their games. I think in some that this game could be better if we were allowed to turn off the shadows. I am not sure how shadows works with the areas that are put into limited light, in some graveyard areas and portals. The concept for that is fine but I find the darkness does not really add a positive to the game for me.
The game looks really good but there are times where the lighting is harsh on the eyes. I find it detracting at times. The realism it great to a point. Having the sun blast into my face while I try to pick hemp is not necessary.
Night time seems good. Not too dark and it does add some ambiance to the game.
