Shattered Mountain should be PVP-flag only & have risk

The game was advertised for pvpers lol as pvp main based with some pve. I even got the videos from the devs to prove that.

Lol you can say what you want it is a MMORPG that was focused more on pvp with side pve content kind of like DAOC had. You can even go back on the old dev blogs and see it for yourself lol

They made that decision 2 years ago. So you can decide freely now. You could have before you purchased. You could have for the last 7 months.

PVP-hardcore players have been repeating this rhetoric for 7+ months now: “But it was supposed to be…”

PVP-hardcore wouldn’t be able to play without doing PVE content or without having PVE players gathering/refining/crafting/selling.

If all you care is about PVP, wrong game buddy.

They even said this pre-launch during the closed betas. In the same video they even stated it was for the skilled player base.

shits changed but it doesn’t mean things and modes cant be created to make a more cohesive and interesting game that has things for everyone to do.

If they stay on a PVE route this game will not last. People will go back to every other wow clone type out there

Exactly, as long as it’s not at the expense of a large chunk of the playerbase…which is why something like this needs to be added through new land, not taking land away from players.

they just need to even it out with some more pvp focused modes that have better repeatability that is all that needs to be done.

(pvp modes that arent just arenas and oprs.)

This game, like any other game, will rely on new players lasting longer and longer than previous players. As long as there are more new players than players departing, a game can grow.

With the major QOL changes in the past 2 updates, there is hope that can happened. Even if it doesn’t, there will be other games. What matters is that the time we put in a game is fun. If this game is not fun cuz it’s not what you were sold onto? Find another game.

No matter what adding in arenas ETC is not the way not saying you said it was or anything. But I know how people think they will say we are getting arenas. Arenas is not organic pvp. WE want open-world organic pvp to where we can use the environment in it etc.

Arenas are cool but get old very fast it turns into a Meta setup only.

its going to take a major overhaul to open world pvp and objectives.

what we have right now with flagging is not enough incentives.

  1. a complete rework of fort capturing.: you should be able to capture pois for your company to get various benefits. not limited to increase faction influence. like for example if you capture a mine poi you get mining yield for that territory. that is something all “companies” wants. in all colors. now you will have these areas switch hands over and over between locks.

tie it into war benefits (like lumber yards give bonuses or cheaper turrets or whatever for attacks) gaining more pois means easier wars for your faction, the alternative is true as well as the 3rd party element of people coming in to just gain benefits during that period.

  1. player v player kills arent that rewarding its just time. there has to be a reason to do it besides annoying farmers. better properly leveled drops AND players that kill other players starts gaining a secret infamy score. you start getting fat drops off them when they die (slowly reduces over days), now infamies people that are know to bully people will start needing to watch their back or take days doing nothing flagged.

yes, even in gw2 PVP 5v5, 3v3 etc which has a very good balanced system based around skill rather than equipment stats, still has meta builds. You cant completely make all play styles equal, nor should they be for that fact. There combat model if flawed, has little not no support utility.

I can see arena’s becoming the haunt of LA, rapier and spear personally.
