Shell company fixes but not really

Just wondering if any other servers are experiencing Shell Companies owning territories still being a thing. We have a one man company on my server holding a territory (just for a meme at this point) but they had a war last night with all mercs and were able to hold it. I thought previous updates fixed this or were supposed to.

Still a thing… just saw this recently in a war we were in where the company was 5 people strong. Suddenly “poof” they have a 50 man squad and in review of the roster it became apparent that it was simply mercs being hired to win the war for the shell company holding the territory.

The silly thing is that we have the finances to play this game easily as we are constantly gold capped at 5 mil so territory ownership or us is less about the funds and more about the fun. That said, it is NOT fun fighting against bought and paid for mercs who only do 1 thing in the game well and as a company we refuse to play the game in this fashion.

Anyhoo… back to work. Once again AGS has gotten it wrong.

The asymmetrical requirements are stupid. The only companies who can field 40 war-ready players are the ones running the shell companies to begin with. So we’re seeing these super companies conquer a bunch of territory in lopsided wars, then throwing them a few days later, then coming back to take them because nobody can defeat them plus 25 mercs.

AGS should change it to a universal 15-merc limit. That or change the cap based on the income it pays out. 10 for BS, WW, EF; 15 for ER, MB, BW; 20 for RW; 25 for the rest.

The official shell company thing starts today, the 15th.

So feel free to take that territory.

It already started, a day early it seems…

people can only make 1 defense war per day, that was the update that fixes the shell companies. so if you attack 2 cites held by the same company+shellcompany they have to rely on other people to help them out.

i think the update should reserve 30-40 slots for company members that are not able to auto fill with random people outside of that company. but it just does. but at this point, who cares anymore…
