Don’t forget to check the Known Issues List to see if your issue is currently being worked on by the dev team.
We also have existing workaround for some issues that you can find here:

  • What is your character name in New World:
    Rumhand

  • What server/world did you experience your issue on:
    Calnogor

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing:
When trading with another player, using left shift+left click (tooltip: “Move”)to move stacks between inventories quickly closes the trade dialog and opens the discarded items window.

  • Is this a bug or an exploit:
    Bug

  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay:
It makes trading items with company members a hassle, because I have to click and drag each item. Other company members do not seem to experience this bug.
In normal inventory use (via Tab, not using a stash), shift+left click discards the clicked item, opening the discarded items window.
When using a stash, shift+left click moves the item between the inventory and stash.

  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No.

  • (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:
Can’t really do that, it happens the instant i shift+lclick an item.

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:
Initiate trade (or have trade initiated, doesn’t seem to make a difference).
Hold shift (the cursor tooltip now reads “Move”)
    Left click item
within the next second, the following happens all at once: The clicked item is discarded, the trade window is closed, and the discarded items window is opened.

+1 for getting this fixed. It’s rather painful to drag drop trade.

+1, this makes trading on a laptop almost literally impossible
