Why do people have to complain about everything ? Something is actually strong in game and people cry for a nerf instead of just rolling gear / buying gear with it rolled on it. If anything is overtuned its the blunderbuss sns guys. Like 8k dmg appearing at once on your screen during a cc chain that you physically cant get out of lol. Stop complaining about shirking fortification and play the game to counter it. Use nullifying oblivion. The game evolves and so do counters. Fortify cap is 50% anyways. Get good
Because it is not strong it is outright broken. 50% damage reduction which works on abilities and auto-attacks. I have two mage sets one with shirking and one without and the difference is absurd. Luckily not a lot of people know about it otherwise everyone would be wearing it right now.
I got 2 pieces not knowing how op it was:rofl: I only got it because I had shirking energy, it made sense in terms of synergy. I had no idea how much damage it was actually mitigating. Even if it starts working as intended it will be strong ![]()
I confirm, the stat is busted.
1 stack per armor piece should be the max.
The stack should add up and not be mutiplied.
Do you realise that the whole armoring system is busted because of this?
You realise that it gives 50% damage absorption to a light wearer from the beggining to the end of a fight?

Fixed issue that allowed the “Shirking Fortification” perk to stack multiple times, allowing up to a 50% Fortify.
Haven’t been able to test it but if someone could test it that would be great.
They just reduced the max stack from 5 to 1, so you can only get the most by wearing a full set of Shirking Fortification.
Well, it was funny dodging a BB shot and instantly getting 5 stacks. Definitely overtuned.
I think reducing it down to 1 stack and maybe expanding the Shirking window would help with consistency. Right now, only Medium and Heavy want it because Light gets too far away for it to work.
well that thats kinda weaksauce if you only run a few pieces.
at best with 5 pieces you get 19.5% pretty solid still if say you are in your own gw and get 10% + another 10% if there is a fortifying sacred ground.
currently only rolled 1 piece with it on so its basically worthless at 3.9%
would need at least 3 to make it on point with various perks.

Uh i have it because i roll gear and try at the game. Why are you crying ? I still kill people with it and without it in opr and war. Why do you think everyone runs resilient? Because its good. Sry that you cant run the same gear youve had for the last 6 months but the game has to evolve somehow or there is nothing to grind for.

I have it too champion, it doesnt change how overpowered it is because of the bug… they’ll fix it and then it will be on par with other perks. I am happy with the outcome.

I don’t think it’s was that OP. Sure you can get 50% quite easily with 3+ pieces. But you also have to take into consideration that everyone is already running 10% fortify from gems + a lot of abilities gives fortify. Wrecking Ball for example gives 20%, Sacred Ground gives 9.7%, Whirlwind gives 10% up to 5stacks so pretty much caps you right away in wars. Then there are oakflesh/gemstone dust which gives 35%.
If anything I wish they just added a CD to it instead.
Now I think they nerfed it too hard. I don’t think anyone gonna run it anymore over something like refreshing or refreshing evasion which doesn’t have any cooldown either + you don’t even have to time it correctly for dodging enemy attacks, you just simply dodge and it works.
Yeah it sucks now I rather have refreshing or refreshing evasion, or freedom.
to be fair most perks sucks in ones besides shirking energy.
It was over the top and was brought back in line with a single players ability to negate damage
Its a “bonus” of mitigation during combat. Like weakening someone during skewer / maelstrom / posionshot (with the perk) You’ve now weakened your targets damage and have fortify further widening the damage gap they deal.
p.s. Blunderbuss counted every pellet, 1 dodge of BB and you were capped. Which was also why rmove was taken off of BB. Imo it should have been counted as 1 hit instead of triggering off every pellet but here we are ![]()
you do have a point but fortify has so many other sources so why waste 5 armor perks on like 20% which you also have to time a dodge on and isn’t on at all times (like resilience or most other armor perks)? Meanwhile all bruisers can just use wreckingball and get 20% fortify right away, without needing any additional perks.
Agree ags should have changed bb shots to count as 1 hit instead.
