You FINALLY got around to fixing the broken quests in Reekwater but then you go and make a solo quest mob a level 65 gold-border elite with MASSIVE amounts of hit points and it has insanely high damage. He was previously a silver border elite and easily soloable. I don’t understand how you can constantly lack foresight and you seem incapable of testing your changes before pushing them onto your live servers.

Document these changes on the PTR and ask players to test the changes before inflicting them on players on the live servers. Currently the time it would take to kill Roundshot by yourself now would be 5-10mins, because of the massive hit point pool of a gold border elite, and you have to play perfectly or you get two tapped. He has the same ability set as the brute and does similar damage.

If these changes are not intended fix them quickly - you’ve already taken the servers down a few times since this patch launched - surely you can adjust something like this during one of those down times. We’ve been unable to progress on these quests since the game launched a couple months ago due to spawning bugs. Take action now - please don’t wait another 2++ months to address this.

If this is intended why do you make these “solo” quests so stupidly difficult for players? After all the dupes, horrible end-game progression loop, and issues this game has had since launch - repeatedly doing stuff like this over and over, patch after patch is going to drive people insane and probably far far away from your game. Make it an elite quest if you want it to be hard so at least players know to get 5 people together before attempting it.

Do the people fixing the quests/implementing the content even try to complete the quests themselves? Shouldn’t that be a basic step before implementation?

This mob is insanely frustrating. With the server lag, desync and now increased health and damage of the mob, it’s damn near impossible to solo him. Even with lifestaff and hammer, one desync, or lag spike that doesn’t fire a dodge when you press it, or change weapons even though you are spamming the 2 key, you get one shot. I have 9.5k health and I get dropped with one hit.

Same here… I’m abandoning this quest. Mob is obviously bugged. with 7.5k hits and around 500k hp.

Same issue here. What is supposed to be a “solo” quest is just impossible to do this solo now, and there are no people interested to help as it’s way out of the usual elite chest routes and not worth their time.

I suspect it’s a bug left from the recent big total hp buff to all elites, leaving this up to stratospheric hit point levels, insane damage and armor resistance, with AGS not really bothering to correct it to be at least remotely feasible.

Its impossible to solo…

Another elite mob in the middle of nowhere, hard to find people to help…
Another stuck quest, like the:

  • Flower For The Departed (Defeat the Cursed One)
  • Paths Unseen (Defeat two purple elite ghosts)

If you can’t solo it, it means you are a weak casual and should quit NW now :upside_down_face:

I said that sarcastically, it seems to be today’s theme: elitists are better than you :laughing:

The irony: about a week ago I was roaming about the area and saw a poor guy trying to solo Ronaldo. I was always, always trying to help people out when I was seeing they had a rough time, that were about to die etc. So I helped him and after 10-15 minutes or so, the two of us managed - by the skin of our teeth - to kill him.

The next day I actually got the quest to kill him myself, and of course for days and days on end I tried asking people in chat, waiting in the area for passers-by etc etc, but no one came. I gave up.

Still listed as a solo quest. The rest of the quest was a challenge, but doable. Then this abomination of code pops up.

That’s his health bar from two of fighting him when I took aggro after 20 seconds and got 2 shot.

I watched a youtube video on how to beat him, and apparently he was a silver elite before where two players killed him in 30 seconds.

This has been acknowledged by the devs and should be fixed in the next update. Not specifically this mob, but the tuning they did to a whole raft of mobs. So I can only assume this mob will equally get fixed too.

Basically, the way they implemented the buff to mobs was lazy and broke several quests. Now they’ve said they are going to address it, we can at least hope that this mob is included. Sadly, it’s not easy to test this as players because once you’ve done it, you’ve done it.
