Shivering Timbers Still Bugged Following Patch

  • Character Name: Necrophagia
  • Issue that occurred: Multi Spawns on Shivering Timbers Quest
  • Time and Date: 13:20 GMT 07/11/21
  • World/Server: Hydrus EU
  • Location where issue occurred: Reekwater
  • Any steps that can be taken to reproduce the issue: I have tried for probably about 4 weeks to complete the Shivering Timbers quest and even reset the quest.

Patch notes have previously stated that the multi spawns for this questline in Reekwater have been fixed. I can confirm this not to be so. Please relook at this issue.

I can comfirm, Hades server, Char name is Boutailledo. Just tried 10 mins ago and similar mega stack of lost pirates.

on Server Orofena we have the same issue. I have my logout point directly on top of the explosives.

As of today I will outlog as long as this issue isn’t fixed. My irl needs more attention anyways.

  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: The issue still stands, but you can climb up the back of the boat and drop down to the powder keg. Then, further down the road there is a single mob you can defeat to complete the quest.

If you don’t laugh your head off the first time you encounter this, you’ve gotta loosen up lol

The same thing is going on, on the server i’m on. It really shows how poorly the game is designed and they didn’t bother to test the game. I managed to place the Keg. Now the quest isn’t on my map anymore. Did they just hire the most incompetent developers, or use the worst engine ever.
The next stage of the quest, dosen’t show up on my map anymore. This is the worst mmo i have ever played. I haven’t experinced an mmo so poorly designed and so buggy. It’s unplayable at so many stages

Does this also work for the second part of the quest? I have previously been able to complete the first part (been able to do the first part again this morning as the mob was wandering around well away from the ship) and then placed the second powder keg but the mob duplication wrecked me defending? So wary of trying the second part as it bugs out the mission icon on the map.

Still bugged Yggdrsil NA West server. Multiple mob bug and unable to “Defend against Pirate salvage crew’s assault.” The marker went away and theres no tagged mob to finish the quest.

Might want to add almost every other side quest in Reekwater to the list, there are at least 5 quests that have the exact same issue, but for some reason you guys only ever acknowledged and actioned 1 of them for some reason…

lol my husband kept saying that when i started complaining “Reek in general is broken!” He was helping me run quests and one of his that wasn’t finishing randomly finished. >.> send help, send devs.

I appreciate your frustration here (and probably in other places, too - it is well known that there are bugs in this game), but I am a bit cut by your comments because it is really obvious that the people who have put their blood, sweat, and tears into this game really love it.

This mob should have the quest marker over their head. Hope this helps! :0)

It is the second part that was the real problem as the Ghost’s and Pirate are both Silver mobs so with stack of each would pretty much one shot even Full Con Tanks (Which I am).
The First part is easily doable by waiting for the marked mob, as you stated.
Luckily I was heading there to check on the state of the quest when the game was put into an emergency server reset and on relogging I got the second part done and spawned the final Boss.
The reset had cleared the additional mobs and no one else had been there before me to trigger the spawns.

But they still don’t have the skill to make content for this game. People that were experienced with mmo’s wouldn’t have designed various aspects, they way they are. I don’t recall an mmo with such a bad aggro system as this game has
