I demand a Post rename to: ā€œIn defense of Devs and complaining about the complainers.ā€

They are trying their best.

It’s just easy for us, thousands of players to find bugs/exploits in a game where thousands of stuff that can go wrong, but not as easy to solve all those problems in such short frame of time.

Well said brother. Couldn’t agree more.

I don’t think anyone is saying that people shouldn’t be upset about the things that aren’t working as they should be. Nobody is saying that the bugs and exploits are fine. I think the entire point of this thread was that people don’t need to attack the devs while expressing their frustrations about the game.

Have there been a lot of bugs and exploits? Absolutely. I also think the dev team really cares. They seem to be trying to fix things and listen to feedback. They have been increasing their communication with the player base.

You want to see a broken game that has head-in-the-sand devs? Go play Ark. There’s stuff in that game that has been broken for years and they don’t fix it. They don’t communicate when stuff goes really wrong. The AGS team has been doing alright and I think it’ll get even better given more time.

New game new company. This stuff happens. On pc. Fallout 76 was a sh!* show they dropped the price on a AAA game 50% off after 3 weeks and handing out free copies as well and it . A year later it’s OK. In my my eye’s amazon you doing great. You are doing first class work with no subscription. Ppl need to learn to give you time. How ever a PTR you may want to thank about. And maybe let mods in? Like min map.that would be grateful. I’m a long time player of wow. 10 years.
And thank you for a great game and all you hard work.

I’ll explain why there are so many complains.

Other MMOs: we have bugs in our games
New World: we have our game somewhere among these bugs

And what even worse - bugs in this game affect GENERAL mechanics.

If it was a free-to-play project - ok.

Buy they sold pre-alpha version for the price of final product. It is scum anyway. And no mater is it hard to create a game or not. I don’t care how hard it is to upkeep a cinema. If I buy a ticket I want to watch movie - not listen how hard was to construct the building or to pay taxes for cinema business… Just show me the movie and some corn plaese. And for sure I don’t want to watch my movie without sound for example or with upside down picture.
In such case don’t try to fix ME. Fix YOUR stuff or give me back my money if you can’t. I won’t wait for ages.

I don’t care likes somebody this game or not. It doesn’t work! And no mater how fast do we get feedback. We are waiting 1.5 moths already and the devs only promise to fix everything. Where are the real things?

Every MMO server start is interresting because of the first wave competition rush.
They totally wasted this component. Even if they fix - half of our guild is done with this masterpiece of code. What’s about the social side and the game society?

Spoon is good for dinner (c)

If they wouldn’t of rushed the game out they wouldn’t be taking this much crap, simple as that.

They banned the use of the letter v in chat earlier today.

That takes some real talent!

Copletely agree ! +1

The managers aren’t the one that makes the code though and in large parts the mess you see is due to the code and nothing else.

With reasonable understanding of how Critical Hits ought to work we wouldn’t have a situation in which a Critical Hit can deal less damage than a standard white hit. That is entirely down to silly and lazy code.

Blame the Managers for pushing this game out far too early and blame the Devs for the mess they make coding wise, because there’s plenty of both.

Kids have been being taught to demonize everyone else for a couple generations now. Courtesy, politeness and probity are the casualties.

it’s also the trash playerbase the devs are making the changes off of

the idiot player base crys, the devs try to fix and make more bugs, the players cry more

and people are quitting more and more as time goes on. the numbers don’t lie https://steamcharts.com/

The Devs makes more mistakes likely because they are under an immense pressure from management to fix it faster and the playerbase that wants it fixed proper.

I don’t think it’s fair to blame the bugs and exploits entirely, I think a good deal of players left/leave because the game is quite hollow at level 60.

bugs and nerfs

people can’t stand the bugs but once you have bugs and make their class worse? high probability they will quit. i’m surprised more healers haven’t quit

New company? 8 years and 2 failed games before NW. lets stop pretending this is some team of 20 year old devs. They hired people from major games and then put a guy from the amazon online book department in charge. That right there is the problem. Leadership with no experience or qualifications.

BAY-ZED based

Moaner’s will moan just do what everyone with a IQ over (15) is doing… Make fun of them and wait for the Dev’s to get things back on track, It will happen just they are down bad ATM. Crap happens I’m sure we will see a up surge in the game’s popularity again.

Then all the Negative people will be hardcore support’s again. Just depends on what their favourite youtuber say’s. :+1:

I am quite happy with the patch, most fixes this time around haven’t caused any other issues and were successful with a few QOL things in there as well. Thank you NW team!

I wonder how the actual activities people are engaging in affect their attitude to the health of the game.

I have mostly been doing quests with a bit of open-world pvp, and certainly wouldnt describe the game as ā€˜broken’. I see some balance issues and a couple of UI bugs, but find it’s immensely fun.

However, some of the posters in this thread assert that the game is nearly unplayable and more bug than feature. I’m not going to tell them they’re lying, because it’s quite possible they’re engaging with different features to me.

To the people who are on the ā€˜this is terrible’ side: what aspects of the game are you most engaging with? Open-world pvp? Wars? Outpost Rush? Town board quests? Territory control? Etc

This is a good-faith post because I’m genuinely curious, and it might actually cool the temper of the debate to know what experiences people are drawing from. For example, although my experiences have been good, I gather Wars are very frustrating due to lag and bugs, so I don’t defend that feature when people express frustration about it.
