- What is your character name in New World: JakeL
- What server/world did you experience your issue on: Castle of Steel
- Describe the issue you are experiencing: When setting up for the Cutlass Keys invasion on 10/11 starting at 11:00pm to 11:30pm, I got the governor of the territory to come to the fort with me and setup the siege. We started setup at 10:40pm EST. We were a little bit late, but had our correct siege layout setup by 10:42pm EST, 3 minutes before the invasion should start pulling. At 10:45pm EST, we got pulled like normal. I started setting up my roster, but someone notified me that the siege was incorrect. It was set to the old layout, prior to our changes at 10:42pm EST. The layout we setup 3 minutes prior was not present.
- Is this a bug? Yes
- (if a bug) How did the issue affect your gameplay: Required the governor or Consul to come and manually setup the siege inside of the instanced invasion.
- (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: Yes. We got a user to the Consul rank and were able to setup the siege inside of the invasion instance.
- (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:
(Both images aren’t perfect, but you can sort of see in the first image there’s an oil pot there, I was on right gate. The second image you can see all horns, which is what was there before 10:40pm EST. I know it’s hard to see, but there was a horn over the door as well, no oil. I think we could replicate this again if needed.)
- What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:
Change siege before an instanced event like an invasion happens, specifically 3 minutes before it pulls, I guess. See that updates to siege weaponry did not persist in the instance. - When did this happen? (Date and Relative time; please include your timezone)
10/11/2022, starting at 10:40pm EST, continuing at 10:45pm EST.
I would really love for this topic to be clarified. Changing the siege weapons from outside the instance in the fort in the normal world does not persist to instances. Is this intentional? Is there a time limit we have for it to carry over to instances?
