So I have a had a little time to look through this problem. As it would stand their is a large number of players who have been bots from day one, people who have played the game and then decide to use bot coding later on.
This is a prevalent issue that effects just about every resource in the game.
How it would be easy to track movement of a player who follows exactly the same route every route. Or tries to harvest something someone else has taken from the bot multiple times. A much easier solution would to randomly reset servers, don’t inform users until moments before the reset as well. Make sure it’s always randomised and not say monday at 7pm gmt every week.
This would mean the bot users would have to relog and restart their bot software majority of these bots dont spend time on the game orher than once every few hours sometimes less.
This solution would stop quite a large amount time being used by bots and resources been lost to bots. It isnt good for the games econemy to have such a wide spread bot problem.
To second that, you need to employ and monitor some in game moderators. People who will visit multiple areas and scout out bots, with an ingame function to ban from the game. Please make this a thing, I know many people, many many people who would volunteer for this position let alone he paid for.
I myself stand in the group of volunteer to moderate.
Please listen Amazon, please watch and learn from many other companies bad decisions. Don’t let such a diamond in the rough plumet and get driven into the ground only because you made an adequate sum of cash from it.
Thank you, please respond.
