Simple fix for Defy Death

I mean I don’t have a problem with Warhammers and such when it’s a 1v1 or even a 1v2. It’s just a super squishy build that requires a lot of movement. I play a 200/150/150 build in light so I particularly target the backline in these situations. Healers and Dex rats hate me.

I’ve an issue when the build consists on pinning someone down with the lowest of the effort because you can’t even CC them due to 300 strenght, like it’s dumb, no counter play rather than dodge/block you’ve less dodges than they’ve cc if you block you run out of stamina so

Get over it. Or just use the braindead GS and lock a light player down. Not difficult :person_shrugging:

No one complained about it until bows and muskets started using it. People just want to be able to kill ranged in a hammer stun or left click them to death lol.

Actually ive been complaining about it since around may :clown_face: people were just too busy crying about other things to notice how easy to use and op hatchet is. Its literally just left click spam but it also gets the most versatile skill set in the game :joy:

GA, GS, and Spear outclass it.

Hatchet isn’t even that good. It had some good utility but that’s about it. No one is using hatchet as their main weapon

None of those can save you from death, none of those have 1 single ability that makes you immune to cc, gives you empower, haste and regen + frees you from any cc, none of those have any sort of range abilities (spear technically has javelin but not many melees use that) and none of those are just left click spam. OUTCLASSED RIGHT???

Yea dude totally, hatchet is clearly trash. People totally only use it for saving themselves from death. For sure. Everyone ignores the fact it has the highest single target dps in the game

Gaining immortality for 3 whole seconds is ridiculous. Make it work in the same manner as e.g. Oakflesh Balm or Gemstone Dust, except it reduces incoming damage by 99% for X seconds or when receiving damage Y times. The numbers should be low though, 1 or 1.5 seconds and 3 hits max.

If you play PvP no one uses hatchet unless it’s for utility. The damage is very good but the tracking isn’t that good. Plus you can block their entire light attack chain and still have so much stamina left over to dodge away. It’s fine imo. If you’re getting killed by hatchets it either means you’re low on stamina/hp and they’re finishing you off, or you don’t really know how to do deal with melee in the first place.

Greatsword has more damage than hatchet, similar utility, and the tracking and range is absurd. I’d rather face a hatchet than a greatsword main any day.

hatchet is a gold farmer weapon, its good at killing bad players only. defy death is not an issue, only bad players complain about it

No reowrk it that way: immortality for 3sec, after 4sec you will receive 30% of dmg you recived during “immortality 0 dmg”.

Simple fix, get rid of the ability…

i’d do longer cooldown and/or 50% reduced healing while you’re immortal.

Assassins exist and they use sns + hatchet bro. Sns being the utility weapon. And that’s 1 example :joy:
