Single Unflagged Players Ruining Group POIs

I have no solution. But people troll super hard by doing this and it is detrimental to say 15-20 people for the “fun” of 1 person.

Making them flag wont solve it Im on the same server as Daddy i even spoke with him today earlier in game regarding a similar issue

Its way to easy to get ori nodes chests ect without lifting a finger and far too easy to dump their agro on other people who are trying to play the game legit As unheard of as that sounds

When im there solo i see flagged folks 95% of the time they dont fight each other everyone is truced Daddys company is the only one iv actually see be willing to PvP in mines which is where i assumed this all went down that or myrkguard

This game has turned out to be a political refugee settlement where everyone just goes out their way to fuck with others for no legit reason Not because of PvP just to be shitheads and they add insult to injury by making sure they agro dump on others who want to play the game as its intended

Then they steal all the ori nodes get their chests without killing a single mob if they get too much agro they just dump it on someone who is actually trying

Its annoying as hell i can 100% understand his frustration on said topic Making people flag though isnt likely to solve it otherwise everyone will just form a flagged zerg and run over whos in there solo actually trying lol

Or itl be more of it is now on ferri 95% flagged players who arent actually fighting each other just a bunch of truces especially like it is in Ambusti mines

Im sure daddy can agree with me not all solo unflagged players are turds some do try to clear out the adds on their own and get the rewards they can get without too much cheesing

Yep, I’d say about 95% of the leeches just don’t care. They run in, get huge aggro, bring the aggro to a group, dump it off, run away, grab the ori and the chests then /wave and /dance etc etc while they’re up out of aggro range. It’s is extremely irritating for the group doing the actual work trying to do the run. They do 0 work, dump it on the group doing the work and get the benefits from it. My groups run PvP flagged as Chaotic0666 said because we want the extra luck boost and we like world PvP, but when you can’t chase the person away, can’t bring aggro back to them, it’s a mess. It annoys the entire group. It makes the runs not fun like they are supposed to be. Just because 1 person wants to troll, leech and not play the game. There needs to be a fix. I don’t care what it is, but this behavior needs to be stopped. Maybe have a minimum required group size to enter, make the POI instanced, make it flagged only, I don’t know, but this happens to tons of people on every server. It needs to be addressed.

Kinda wish you picked a different clip i think i was the only one who went down on levaithan during that run though i must say my toon is alot more handsome on stream then i realized lol

It doesn’t matter whether they are flagged or not LOL. Like, if you were there killing the boss unflagged, and another unflagged pulled stuff on you - ??? That’s exactly the same thing.

You flagged because you get huge 30% gathering and 10% loot bonus. If you all unflagged, literally nothing would change because these people could pull aggro on you the same way.

You make it sound like it is a PVP problem, while PVP is literally irrelevant.

It was the only one I recorded. It was extremely obvious what was going on in that clip though.

Difference is if its someone flagged from a different alliance doing it then said players could kill them and i can see that perspective 100%

Troills are everywhere though flagged unflagged I think mobs chests nodes in POis like that should require you to actively participate other games Like Gw2 have a simular mechanic in world boss events

If you dont contribute a certain amount of damage to the mob or healing to people near by or take a certain amount of hits something then ok no chest

If you dont contribute you shouldnt get shit or at the very least way less rewarding loot then those who put in the work I know i cant solo levaithan so i only loot the chest when other people go to fight it then i contribute as you can see in the video i died contributing lol

Far as the trolling agro goes Imo If i run past a grp of mobs those mobs should focus on me and me alone if i go near other people i should still be the target If i go to a ledge and hide then the agro should reset completely not Hot potato to the nearest poor soul who happened to be in in the wrong place at the wrong time

If i die to said agro that i pulled then the mob can pick its next victim lol that way if people are gona agro dump theyd atleast have to die for it might detour them a bit

The problem is people leeching off of groups playing the game that are actually doing the work. If they are PvP flagged then we can kill them and move on, if they are unflagged they can still put aggro on groups and troll. I don’t care what the solution is. But the problem is they get away with it, profit and put in 0 work and don’t even play the game.

I was near him when he agroed levaithan with his musket he was on the ledge near me i was trying to recover HP and he fired of a round knowing damn well levaithan wasnt gona hit em there so it went to your grp on the right

That’s what they do, tag mobs, steal ori, cheese chests, drop aggro on groups, etc etc, it’s just garbage and it needs to be addressed.

It does people should have to pitch in for their rewards otherwise the game needs a rename to something like Parasitic World to imply the level of leeching that comes with end game areas

I didnt even see your EQ statement lol that brings back days but atleast in EQ 1 People would yell Train to zoneline! people would steer clear

If they dont do enough damage - bosses, enemies, or portals, they do not get the reward.
Chests, on the other hand, together with orichalcum nodes can be SOLOED in most cases.

I run mines solo all the time, it takes less time and effort than to bother with people who want to just kill everything for sake of killing. There is literally no reward for killing these mobs.

So that is another two irrelevant issues - orichalcum veins and chests. You do not lose any resources, because they are not YOURS. There are people in mines all the time soloing them. Just because you killed the boss does not mean the node is yours. First come first serve. Just saying.

These people may be a-holes or trolls for pulling enemies on you purposefully, but the same thing can be done in different MMOs as well.

I don’t know. I just don’t see any problem here. Just go faction chat and get one/two more groups or something.

Haha I remember plenty of griefing went on in South Ro. Always some ass would throw on a speed buff grab a pack of giants training all over the zone.

But honestly it should be somewhat harder to intentionally drop aggro on another player.

Yeah the aggro system is problematic. It should not be so easy to drop aggro.

But the defence is simple, if he tries to loot a chest or mine an ore, drop aggro on him and without group he is dead.

You are right there is no reward in killing the mobs but im pretty sure the intent wasnt just to reset everything and go on a looting spree

Far as nodes go no they are unowned sure once again you are right i agree 100% with that though if someone is fighting mobs near the node so they can earn it vs someone whos running by trying to get it without doing anything for it or dropping their agro on someone else to ensure they cant get it …

Then the person who agro dumped or tried to get it without doing anything more then just waiting for someone else to be busy to get it is nothing more then a vulture a damned parasite and thats being civil imo when it comes to labeling

If you want to side with that mind set by all means thats your choice naturally people arent going to agree on this topic but im pretty sure for all amazons faults in these mechanics they didnt intend for people to get free chests and nodes without ever even risk getting hit by a mob or having to kill said mob for it

I gota ask though whats the point of playing the game if theres no feeling of even the slightest accomplishment? shouldnt killing the boss near the node provide some value? not so someone else who just waited and ninjaed it from you while you put in the work

Maybe amazon should adjusted the rewards so killing something for that node yields something better then just stealing it from someone else

Why reward laziness? Were already on a game intended for entertainment I cant speak for the entire game population but i wager a few folks would rather challenge them selves then be rewarded for their efforts as opposed to say Hey look this guy pulled all the adds im going to run in and loot that boss chest that i didnt help with 1 bit lol

And yeah thats on amazon for designing it that way and its on the players also for promoting that playstyle in the game IMO

Otherwise the concept of be a mooch theres no reason to work for any reward kinda sends the wrong message lol if i cant put in a lil work on a game thats intended for my entertainment how the fuck am i gona put in work for my life so i can live?
