It does drop from the jewelry crafting Aptitude crates, usually gives 2 or more. If you know someone who has 200 in jewelry crafting tell them to mass craft so they get chests.
We’ve been trying to farm Starstone for it. Idk how many runs in the past 2 days, in luck gear and no luck gear. Haven’t got a drop. There’s 1 on our server right now for 20k on the TP << and buy orders for 15-18k. A guy did loot a sacred ring with keen and 23 focus from shattered, so nice knowing you can get ring drops with it. Gonna try ezra since he was moved, but don’t know if he drops it anymore:/ literally nonstop starstone the past few days <<

only place i have gotten this item regularly is jewel crafting aptitude chests.
Anyone saying they got it from a mob/dungeon is lying. Only place you can get it is from JC aptitude chests.
Never seen one drop from starstone tbh. This seriously needs to be added somewhere else.
It shouldn’t be this hard to get this crafting ingredient!
it feels like they don’t like adding things for mana users. jewelry for mages and healers is hard to come by. there is no IG that is BIS as a drop anywhere but all melee weapons have a drop. seems like an oversight. hope some of these issues are fixed with the new content because it’s getting expensive.

What a stupid comment.
The final boss in starstone dropped it for my irl friend last week, I was in the dungeon with him when it happened. I even crafted a ring for him using the mod right after.
I also bought 2 of them on my old server before aptitude crates even existed.
It has a terrible drop rate but it most certainly drops.

@dapa3ck I don’t think that is true what you say just because you never got it from dungeon that doesn’t mean its not there. I got it from last boss in Starstone expedition and it was the only drop I got it. no drop from aptitude chest for me.

Well, maybe you guys are right, but I played on the 2nd highest pop server for a long time and before the aptitude chests came in we believed the item wasn’t in the game, we haven’t seen a single one.

the drop in general is trash, i run a lot of times starstone barrows, and 0 drop
check the item, clicked “dropped by” find the alligator in windsward. i’ve gotten ONE (after 6 hours of intermitten farming)
With the developer update video that just dropped, i want to give this discussion some life. Unless mods count as named items, which i dont believe they do, the devs said luck will not affect the drop rate of them. With that in mind, the rarity of this item on top of not having a way to affect drop rate is absurd. The cheapest on Castle of Steel Trading Post is 18,000. Even a bad ring with only Sacred as a relevant perk will become 20+k just for material cost. There needs to be more transparancy on drop rates in general so if there is something wrong with the drop rate of this mod, it can be brought to attention with evidence. I myself have spent 10 hours each at Starstone, Susanna, and the Named ancients at Amrine Temple overworld, and havent seen the drop a single time.
