The bigger problem is umbral shard cost to upgrade gear and m10s being the only way to aquire them, “fast”
If I make money from crafting why not let me spend it on shards?
If PvE expedition divers want to sell shards because all they do is run expeditions and have a shard abundance, why not let them sell?
I’ve done all the m10s and after you do it a few times, you’ve beat it right?
The last patch made wards & banes required to m10gold, meaning more umbral shards required to even attempt gold, meaning less shards for the normal players
I do really enjoy the changes they made to shards at lower levels. Before it was essentially M10 only, maybe M8/9 being reasonable. Now I just did an M3 and got 1000 shards the other day? Compared with like 80?
I think that in a way combats it. Also forcing the chests at the end in a way takes that away from sellers and now it’s presumably given to whoever buys the run. Which could be another issue but less incentive to sell?
I actually don’t mind it being a service too much. I enjoy accomplishing it myself and that challenge but until they ramp up ways to get from PVP, I think it’s a nice service for them. Granted 600 to 625 isn’t that significant and the fight is more likely to be dictated by skill than gear. While 500 to 600 is definitely gear favored but they fixed that a bit with normalization. The key is the perks but resil/freedom or resil/shirking pieces are actually not too bad on legacy servers. Third perk is powerful no doubt but you will be surprised what those two perks alone can do.
they need to add minimums to be able to claim the shard such as hitting certain mobs or killing bosses, being healed for x amount of damage in order to rewarded shards people can still come it to help people finish and get the loot but that all no shards and also lock the chest from the time they come in so if they come it during gen last bass they only get 1 chest the rest is locked etc also only let people that is 1 gs lower to be able to enter the mutations so m10 u have to be 624 in order to enter their too many clueless people running m10 now that don’t have a clue what they are doing ruining runs for everyone it’s not fun at all i understand the loot is really good but u have to start off low because their a lot of mutations put together that can legit kill the entire team
Honestly, why do you care? @cattboy nailed it, if someone plays for x hours and makes x gold why does it matter how they spend it? Doesn’t have anything to do with you. A lot of people love the PvP in this game and don’t want anything to do with the PvE side so let them enjoy what they want.
If you need something to complain about why not make a cry for a auto dismantle/perk sort search function in the game since it’s brutally past due and essential for the game…
I agree for the point if your GS Low than the mutation recommended then you can’t enter the mutation.
Shard selling I don’t think it’s bad or wrong or it can be hard controlled. I think it’s ok exists in the game, if u want u sell or buy. I never did sell or bought shard btw.
Why do people care about shard sellers? It’s a player-driven market that you don’t have to participate in. It just moves gold around and has little to no impact on the game economy unlike other glaring issues that still exist like territories printing gold.
Why is any of this a problem? If you want to farm gold in the way you like playing and then use that gold to pay people who do PVE for a service I really don’t see a problem with it.
This feature is one of the best ways the little guy can make a lot of gold from the big dominate companies who siphon up all the gold through taxes.
for some maybe, others probably don’t want to be bothered w the content to enjoy the content they prefer. perhaps it would be a good idea to look at solving that issue and the see if shard selling is still a big demand or not.
there is no accomplishment of gearing in this game though. it’s just time gate for most ppl. could understand for raids if the content is difficult or not. or there was very hard and incredibly rare items but neither of these are really the case here.
what accomplishment do you foresee? ward/bane gear? exclusives drops that can’t be crafted around? outside of collectionism really no point to it. If you want it to matter more divorce it’s impact on pvp gearing and maybe the devs will make the pve a stronger gear check and move more exclusive drops to the pve mobs, of they’d have to first fix the perk bucket so it stop rolling as much pvp perks in pve content.
but until those things happen there will be a market for shard buying as it’s the most efficient method to get geared for pvp content.
so long as that remains the case ppl will find ways to trivialize pve content to get to content they prefer.
or do you think the market of shard buyers is primarily people wanting to get 625 just to gear for m10s? pretty sure most of those players just do the content and work there way to it since ya know they enjoy it.
