This new system, kills the crafting weapons, armor, and accessories for others market. Not sure I enjoy this update. I might have to stop playing this game until they can fix the true errors in the game. And make the End content actually better. For example, once you hit level 60 in game you can equip anything from Gear Score 500 - 600 (this is a 100GS range). If you are level 55 you can equip GS 495-500 (this is a 5GS range). Where is the error or the distance between characters in game? A player is limited from making a run to GS 600 until they reach level 60. The quality of the Gear should be adjusted per the players level - or the durability of the gear should be effected, why? a player with more experience would know how to use their equipment/gear better than another.
Just a thought, as this game is officially dead. Kind of like another game using a similar Gear Score build style “Division”.
lol crafters will be able to craft legendary 600 light armor with INT + fireball bonus on every part. which probably will be meta for quite a while.

I think the part that needs addressed more than anything is the “why” of the HWM/Expertise system in the first place, which is to hide the lack of meaningful content progression. Plus someone thought it was “cool” when designing the game… a “hidden” system to force a massive timesync on players that the vast majority find incredibly tedious (as proven by the significant drop in player numbers).
AGS: You need to implement a truly rewarding system.
- Remove the extremely broad and random stat bonuses on dropped gear. Who has actually been able to put a decent full set of gear together with beneficial stats from drops alone?
- Put good, name/specific, gear set drops in Expeditions. You might want to be “different” but players want a reliable path to progression not some “I can never get there this is going to take forever” path that you have today.
- Fix the current issues with jewelry WM. Give everyone a bump to 550 who isn’t there now because you made it next to impossible to get there.
- For god’s sake please put search features into the crafting and market interfaces that let you find traits by the stat, or a random text string search! It’s SUPER painful searching for stuff in those Uis.
- Come up with more creative traits. Why should named legendary weapons (or armor) share the same trait pool with random dropped gear? It’s just lazy and unappealing.
Everything that is wrong right now with this game is that it’s not fun, it’s a job. All progression is pure tedium. As others have stated in many other threads it’s clear that the developers, or decision makers, do not play the game. You are viewing this as “how do we force players to play longer? I know let’s force them to grind out this hidden value before they can get anything worth keeping! That will make them stay!” This philosophy is obviously wrong as the feedback here and the massive drop in player base indicates.
You’ve made a superb game in many regards which has features so antithetical to “enjoyment” and “reward” that it’s mind boggling that it came from the same studio. A studio headed by people who should know better based on history.
Shows how ignorant you are to what GS translates into (any decent perks or stats instead of just a big number) and it’s hillarious you’re still white knighting still.
