So hard to convince myself to play

We both know you have more than that…

You guys gotta stop overdramatizing stuff…

Don’t worry your precious Voidbent will be forever in your favor.

I’d love to show you if I hadn’t deleted my character. But, ok, my coin amount was extraordinarily low, definitely less than 100, and if I had that much it’s probably because I just decided not to repair anything before I deleted. This was back during the 2nd Trading Post shut down, knowing that I had lost all of my coin that I used to list anything that I was stupid enough to list in the first place since I knew none of it would sell. But, regardless, my memory’s fuzzy about the exact amount I had considering this was a month ago now.

Anything besides that miniscule amount of coin was literally whatever I was wearing, which means you couldn’t have any of it. Or, a bunch of stuff taking up storage space that couldn’t be sold. Believe me, I would not have any issue with giving any of it to anybody on my server considering how worthless it all was. And, none of what I just said is overly dramatic. That’s the absolute truth, no exaggerating for effect this time around. And, if you still think I’m exaggerating, then I guess there’s nothing I can do to convince you otherwise, not that it matters anymore anyway. It’s just that a lot of people still don’t seem to believe or understand how so many people were struggling at that time to have any coin or any way of digging themselves out of the loop of death/repair/can’t sell anything that was/is going on. It’s possible things may have changed in the past month, but I sincerely doubt it considering how many people still seem to have the same story, and there are still so many people that don’t seem to believe it for some odd reason. There’s no point to making it up. Believe me, if I had someway of generating a decent amount of coin and making progress, I would still be playing. Hell, if I was simply compensated for the coin I lost during the Trading Post shut downs, I’d probably still be playing.

Just echoing you really op, at level 60 I have no incentive to play no matter what AGS do now, they screwed up big for me to enjoy this mmo when the gaming market has a fair few other mmo’s I enjoy, I dipped into this game new world because of today’s technology etc and had high hope for it but when you start you are taken aback with it but after level 30 or even less it becomes a task to switch on.

A refund I wont even bother with as it’s only £40 and not because I got my hours worth but because now this will make me not ever buy another AGS game or any game AGS are in cohort with, once bitten twice shy and all that.

Hope you guys that stick around carry on enjoying what it is you enjoy.

Certainly shouldn’t play something you don’t enjoy. Sounds like it is time to go do something you find fun.

So hard to convince myself to play

Dude, just don’t play. Why should you have to convince yourself to play a video game. There are plenty out there. Move on and play another. No point in having so many negative emotions about it.

Yeah just throw 1000 hours of your life down the drain because the game only gets worse every day. Don’t hold the studio that lied to you accountable or anything. People like you are why games fucking suck. Go buy some store skins so when no one plays this game anymore you can still flex on the bots.

WOW. So you want a refund after getting hundreds of hours of entertainment? LMAO. Sorry bud. Not how it works. You don’t get to eat the steak and get your money back. You got more than your monies worth. You aren’t happy with the game anymore. It happens. Move on then.

Move on, my dude! This game made me realize I don’t like MMO’s and there’s nothing the company can do to make me a happy customer–I am not their audience.

I sit there and think, “OK. I need to gather 10,000 of these items so I can level this skill so I can make this chest. And then I can store more items in this chest, which allows me to more aggressively grind materials. Now I can gather 40,000 at a time. And at the end of all of this grinding, I can make these stones for myself that will increase my strength, so that I can be more competitive against other players.”

So it’s all a long train of a----->b------>c------>d------>e so that I can finally get to ---->z, play the game and fight other players.

Nah. Screw that, lol. I’d much rather play Apex or Halo or even an RTS, where you skip all the nonsense and just get to the part where you play the game and fight other players. On even territory, too. No one has some special armor that took 600 hours to get that gives them an edge.

WTF. I’m not going to make video games some part time job.

I logged in once in the past month just to see if there was anything fun left in this game… I was so bored that logging into NW became a thing to do. That’s scraping the bottom of the barrel.

So I log in.

See the server population at what essentially was peak play time before. Hardly see 120 people.

The chat is dead. No groups, no chatter, nothing happening.

Leave the town I was in… walk around a bit… kill a couple of mobs… looked at my quest list, see closest quest requiring me to run half the map for what obviously was going to be a do-it-return-turn in quest- get told to run half the map away gain quest line.

/bleagh.

Logged out.

I thought SWG’s Smedleydemise was bad… but this is the first time I’ve seen a game die so quickly after launch from such horrid design issues.

@thezikaz

If you played 1000 hours plus you shouldn’t be blaming AGS, you should blame yourself!

I logged in today to see if anything has changed. Server is still dead, elites still one-shot you with no chance to escape. I can’t even walk to certain areas without aggroing elites and dying instantly to stunlocks.

I couldnt possibly see why…

Games have bugs.

Bugs get fixed over time.

Nothing right now, except people stuck on low pop servers, is game breaking or fun ruining enough to make a comment like that…

I can only assume you have been listening to people rather than keeping yourself updated on the revisions to the upcoming content patch.

If you did, you would know the games about to get way better…

But to each their own.

So many drama queens… unbelievable.
If you’re not enjoying the game, then quit.
If you have to “convince” yourself to play, you don’t enjoy it.

I look forward to logging in each and every evening after work. It’s my relaxing time.
I absolutely love this game right now.

Ah so your actually incapable of having a discussion?

Am i using too many syllables? If your gonna talk out your ass be prepared to back it up.

Someone points out your idea is terrible, you simply attack. You’re actually incapable of being objective or forming a cohesive argument to defend your stance.

Edit this response was meant for someone else but I will let it stand as it is apt for this poster as well

I have a level 60 on a low pop server on US East and I know it will eventually be merged, but rather than wait and complain, I took advantage of rolling a new toon on a high pop server on US West. I chose a new starting city and faction. The beginning quest chain is different, I know more about game mechanics and this play through has been a lot of fun. I have more gold at level 20 than I had at 50+ on the old server.

Sometimes it’s fun to relax and enjoy the leveling experiences.

The game looks good, things to gather, and crafts. There is nothing there. Rinse and repeat. I will maybe quit soon too. Hope you find something else in life to do. I know I will have to find something else.

@thezikaz

Bahaha

Your above no one. You call people idiot simp, and tell them to use their brain when it took you 1000 plus hours to realize the game isn’t for you.

Your literally whining about getting killed while flagged for the bonus.

Do you not see the correlation between flagging for PVP and getting killed? Seriously Big Brain there is a connection there. Also it is easy to extrapolate the solution.

The solution is simple, don’t flag. Think for a minute your crying about how flagging for PVP is in your opinion not worth the hassle it creates for you.

That shows the risk vs reward factor is actually working. And it also proves why those flagging should get a bonus.

But you just want it all handed to you on a silver platter…

@thezikaz

I addressed the fallacy in your position and I solved it for you actually.

I know you want everything handed to you on a platter, not sure what more i could do.

You haven’t made one post with a valid argument, you just name call and boast of your superiority.

Quite pathetic. You must be a young republican…

But why did you have to convince yourself to write in the forums? Wouldn’t it be better for everyone if you just quietly change the game? I think it would.
