I think people are missing the point on purpose tbh. I never mentioned an issue with being able to solo content. My issue is with the lack of group play. If people can’t understand this, that’s their own fault lmao. You didn’t even respond to the issues I mentioned, and you strictly focused on the “soloable” content part, which is out of context. You’re an example of the people that missed the point “bro”

Oh, my bad. I thought it was a reply to me lol! No need to get so mad tho. I said you were out of context because you said some stuff that did not have anything to do with what I said. But this wasn’t the case so why are u attacking me?
It’s not a refreshing change at all… it’s a really stupid change. I’ve just done that exact quest as level 59. It took me 10-15 mins to kill that guy solo. It was boring beyond belief. Exact same thing with a faction mission to kill an elite croc… although at least this one is labelled as elite.
The worst thing is that this is an undocumented change that AGS haven’t even acknowledged. Just some dev post about changes to end-game Elite POI’s… not one word about the fact that all elites have been turned into health sponges.
I play as a healer so I am able to keep myself up through these fights… no idea if it is even possible for a straight DPS spec. If not it’s even worse… if so then it’s still just as dumb as it would take a DPS spec I guess 5-8 mins instead of 10-15 and constant chugging of health pots.
ALL THIS FOR A SIMPLE SOLO SIDE QUEST.
I took 3 long range shots from a low level portal tentacle running past it in Windsward as a level 59 and almost died, that never happened to me before either. I was solo-ing those portals occassionally for giggles at much lower level.
This stealth change to elites may or may not make end-game farming more challenging in a very boring way… what it definitely does do is negatively affect players at all levels. It affects solo players and players who play in groups together. This makes every in-game activity involving elites pointlessly time consuming and boring enough to put people off playing altogether.
The failure to acknowledge or explain this situation is pretty embarrassing.
So, they did release notes at midnight 20 NOV reference the unacknowledgement, intentional vs unintentional. Even though they may not be as responsive as you would like at least they are trying and we are receiving communication on issues submitted by the community.
Different tastes. For me a quest is boring when the most challenging part is not falling asleep while walking there.
But this particular quest is actually bugged, see my post above. Patch unintentionally increased the mob HP too much in Ebonscale.
It is. I’m light armor spear/bow normally, but i whipped out a shield for this one. Had to fight in an area as big as a napkin to avoid aggro from respawned regular mobs.
So… just so Im getting this right you want mobs with 1 million hp and 5k hits and thats your challenge? Well some ppl like putting 1000 piece puzzles together with no photo (just all white) so who am I to judge?
Personally to me thats not challenge thats futility. Different strokes I guess.
