So no fresh start then!?

I dunno what to say what Im feeling right now…when seeing this leveling xp bonus event, yeah sure its always nice to get an xp buff.
Here is my dilemma…I have my main character on Dry Tree and I starting on one of the new servers Fae with my alt I started two weeks ago.
Its at level 48 now and got most gatherings up over level 150 and some craftings is over level 100.
Yesterday when the fact that Brimstone is coming october 18th got me hyped and looking forward to it. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Today when this xp bonus is up, it just reminds me of I need to delete my alt when the fresh start server coming and I feel like what is the point even continue level my alt up when I still need to start all over again when fresh start server coming out?
When I can only make 2 characters.

Date when fresh start server coming?

Si AG se montre pertinent, les fresh starts arriveront en même temps que la mise à jour…
Tout autre date serait catastrophique…

If AG is relevant, the fresh starts will arrive at the same time as the update…
Any other date would be catastrophic…

Disagree if date is sooner than BS update. Server work load management for any number of players above a certain threshold is a thing and we saw that last year.

Having to close new FSS at a player mark (2000 i.e.) and open up a new one while not opening up too many at once and not too little too slow. It is a challenge and we will pay the price via queue time spent.

So again, a pre start for FSS makes a lot of sense. Also having a timed event and new zone for max level players seems unreasonable as release for FSS.

If I was the read between the lines. It does seem like Fresh Start Servers are at a minimal of 2 to 3 months from release. And this new character leveling event does suggest the same in a roundabout way.

So if I was you people, I would make no plans to play on fresh start servers this year. But be pleasantly surprised if it does happen this year.

I’m in the minority, but I think they should wait.

The game is way better but mostly QoL. When it comes to things to do at level 60, it’s still light–especially if you have no interest in territory control (like most people).

Still one OPR, still a handful of dungeons, arena is still pretty niche without leaderboards or matchmaking.

If you quit last time, you’ll likely quit this time. And fresh servers are going to decimate current servers because many current players want to “relive” launch as well.

You only need to look at archeage to see how flawed game design has led to a constant cycle of fresh starts…

Yes, this right here!

In my eyes awell New World seems to be following the designs of hardcore grinder MMOs like ArcheAge, Bless, and Elyon. Games like those normally put off PvPers after some time progress. Because they allow guild’s, companies, and or Squadrons to snowball the game. Making them not fun for less than hardcore grinders and or exploiters.
