Did you ever stop to consider that maybe AGS is nerfing heavy healing because they don’t want PvE content to be easy as shit???
The pve in this game is no where near as technical as pvp, it’s mindless.
We adapt to change AI don’t, the affect that this will have will never be so impactful that pve will become more of a chore.

how about changes to ho stamina regen works ( people whined about how they cant catch people with light armor blah blah blah
how about reducing 200 con perk from 20% armor to 10%
and the big thing how about the nerfs to the healer builds
people whined they cant kill healers omg healers op etc etc
all this cause some whiners who are not good enough to pvp cried enough for AGS to try and make pvp idiot proof as result they destroyed the pve aspects of it
They could follow Lost Ark and have separate trees. PvE and PvP.

To be fair. Reducing or increasing NPC’s health pools, Damage, Resistances and numerous other small things like stamina damage can always be adjusted easier than conforming PvP combat around PvE metrics.
Literally what I was writing. Lol.
Lol devs don’t want to balance pve and pvp separately because they don’t want to have “two games”… solution: let’s do a revision on each pve content every time we need to do a pvp balance.
You living under a rock? Healer getting screwed again as always, forced into light armour, need to light embrace, list goes on and on… reason pvp arena, OPR, and war.
No reason our PvE experience should be dictated by pvp.

PVERS are the ones who ruined this game.
Most healers I know are also running light. The thing is… why should one class be pingeonholed into a gear set. If healing in heavy armor is too OP then doing massive damage with GA/WH in heavy armor is also too OP.
The serious issue in this is two things… one the amount of investment in gear is insane and one patch forcing that to change is deflating to put it mildly. Two, like I said above its pingeoholing one class into an armor set but not others.
And how is that exactly?
Heavy healing is pretty rubbish in PVE, especially m10’s. Get light or medium ward gear, it’s way better for you and especially your team.
Trust me it’s worth it, I used to heal PVE in heavy and now I realise how bad it actually was. I have much more fun in light ward sets and the healing is insane.
Fair, but heavy DPS does not do much damage. I’ve run medium and heavy in OPR and there’s a significant difference in damage. A heavy vs a light, yes, it seems unbalanced but that’s normal. A medium will smoke a light user and a heavy will smoke a medium given equal loadsets.
Cheese builds like BB can change these general rules of thumb, along with healers widening or narrowing gaps but the precedent still applies.
The higher scale combat in terms of numbers gets a bit derailed and revolve around healers and other factors.
Only specialized DPS made or perked for killing a tank should kill a tank.
Tanks can’t and shouldn’t outdps healers. That’s the biggest flaw.
If heals or a counter to heals was balanced on a reasonable level rather than allowing them to be healing someone to full life every 3 seconds from 1% then tanks would need a damage Nerf.
Such is New Worlds current META.
There’s already not much room for heavies in most of the game and is hindered even further by the power of healing and potions combined making mediums our tanks AND DPS at the same time and making tanks shitty DPS and nothing more that can 1v1 most lights.
How does this sound normal to you? The point of going light is for more dps. The point of going heavy is for more mitigation. The point of going medium is to be a little equal.
Also heavies throw GW on a group of heavies and wipe them out in seconds all the time. This game just is not balanced properly. It starts with a single weapon that can do it all. It continues with a gear set and stat point allocation that allows max mitigation, high hit points, and still massive AoE damage.
This should not happen. I know you don’t agree with that and I am not going to argue back and forth with you but giving one class everything with no downsides is the cardinal sin in MMO balancing.
Just buy a cheap 595 light armor with the perk for each Dungeon and you will be OK, I spent close to 5k to build mine, of course you will have to grind a little bit to get this to 625, but you will see how easy it is to stay alive with light amor and a crapload of damage reduction.
You think it should require 3 others to kill a single healer?
Light healers got buffed and heavy healers got nerfed.
If you run heavy in m10’s then you’re not a good PvE Healer or your tank needs to do better, same with DPS.
