They never banned people for macro’ing the old hatchet/FS exploits. Hell they struggle to ban bots at all, even with 100’s of reports for each one. If they had a way to detect macros, it doesn’t work.

You don’t need a macro. Just keep your finger on block and attack with light attacks it is faster.

Hello, scripting, including macros, that allows for unattended play (even if you’re still on the computer watching Twitch) or an unfair advantage over others goes against our Terms of Service and Code of Conduct. We have educated our customer service reps on the correct response to this issue.
If the macro is allowing a faster fire rate, which others don’t get to achieve without the macro, then it’s against the TOS.
Why?
People are just talking about it here. But there are actual people in the game running these exploits and nothing happens to them.
You know how wrong it would be to punish people talking about bugs or exploits on the forums when nothing is being done to the people actively cheating in the game?
It’s a key bind …. Key binds are allowed

Many games especially mmorpgs ban for mouse macros and having it as feature in the mouse will not make it’s use cases any less bannable depending what they’re used for and especially mouse macros are not primarily designed for video games but more to make automating work tasks easier. In this case it’s used to gain unfair advantage so i would classify it into same slot as having aimlock.
If machine does something for you it changes from being mechanic into being an exploit/cheat because it allows you to use your hands in doing something completely different WHILE simultaneously doing another thing.
You have 10 fingers and if your mouse automatically replaces 7 of them it’s not really something one should be doing. might aswell put AI in your chair
That’s not a solid argument. Because something can be done doesn’t mean it should be done.
That’s pretty basic social relations and ethics.
It’s also a good general rule with anything. From cars to computers or sex toys.
This is hack not macro, macro programms are not affecting game, it just clicks buttons for you.
I had something very similar happen when I was running through Shattered Mountain. There I was in a life or death situation and I had no time to make a mistake, when some buzzsaw using a spear came through and tore everything up around me without ever taking a single pause or breath. As I stood there in awe I tried to thank him since I finally had a free moment after he cleared out all of the enemies, but he just kept vault kicking, skewering and perforating down the road with the hip thrusts of someone from a Magic Mike movie. I instead just waved and said to myself, Damn, I haven’t seen anything that dramatic since nineteen ninety eight when the Undertaker threw Mankind off Hеll in a Cell, and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcer’s table.

Everyone can google search for hacks within 5 seconds. Its important to draw attention to such things here. Creater of this topic did everything right.
If you are sure about it report it as an exploit and maybe link an AGS account.
Also, do not mention names of other players in public posts.

This should be a 100% ban, any form of automation should be a ban

Okay so if I keybind my entire rotation including animation cancels that’s ok? How is that not botting?
