So they nerf the bow but not really the musket O.o

Ability Updates

  • Penetrating Shot, Deep Strike Upgrade - Reduced damage from 20% to 15%.
  • Long Range Passive - Reduce damage from 15% to 10%.
  • Opening Strike Passive - Reduce damage bonus from 20% to 10%.
  • Finishing Shot Passive - Reduce damage from 20% to 15%.

Bow

  • Evade Shot damage reduced from 125% to 90%.
  • Rapid Shot no longer staggers.

Musket Musket

  • Stopping Power damage reduced from 120% to 90%.

thats about it LOL what a joke. bows was never really the problem.

for PVE
What I don’t understand is so you buff BANE on bow and others so they can be use more in PVE right? but then you nerfed other skills on the bow so IN FACT the buff to bane is total useless in fact LIVE servers bow dmg 1000 PTR bow dmg 1000 so it just looks like you buff the bow in pve but the fact yes it will do the same dmg after the patch . you just move the dmg to a other peak so no buff to the bow after the patch in PVE its the same dmg … wauw just wauw

The damage bow players were able to pump out was out of this world – it might still be out of this world after the patch. Hopefully, the changes to ME, changing the way crit damage is calculated, and the reduction in damage will bring the bow back down to earth.

The nerf to the musket is different in nature. Instead of flat out reducing the damage it does, AGS has opted to introduce an “accuracy system.” I am not sure how that will affect the musket population.

I agree, but, as usual, they chose to listen to the complains.
I will just go 400+ dex and be done with it.

I really dont care that much about pvp tbh… but the problem I have in PVE yea we buff bow in pve … NOPE they buff bane but in fact they just move the dmg … so no buff in pve

Ah, fair point. I don’t PvE, so I don’t rightly know how good/bad the bow is in PvE. Hopefully, the changes won’t negatively impact PvE players too much.

Yea muskets been untouch kinda weird for me , they still kept their slows / staggers on their skills

Yea we basically lose 20% bonus dmg in passive to win 10% dmg on bane ? I don’t get it lol

Potentially the muskets rate of fire is pretty much tanked with this new steady hand mechanic, but bow dmg nerfs are great LOL

I mean if you look further the “problematic” empower pvp perk was nerfed quite a bit, and that was big part of rat musket builds.

Big nerfs to musket, mortal empowerment and they fixed the issue with conversion gems.

Musket got giga nerfed… removed ballistic advantage and added bullet stray…

that just means more rock muskets

bow does more dmg then musket so yeah dmg whise bow needed a bigger nerf then musket, they changed how the projectiles work on musket however i believe so should be a “equal” nerf, despite that i cant say i have much sympathy after seeing everyone celebrating that bruiser is getting obliterated, i guess were in the same boat now. gl

I suggest you log onto the ptr and try the musket yourself.

The musket is pretty bad. You probably won’t see too many of them after the patch.

The bow seems more or less the same.

The fire staff seems like it has a shorter TTK than the bow, though.

It’s going to be FS and bows in OPR instead of Bows and muskets. It’s going to be just as bad as always.

Hopefully they change something before going live.

Go on ptr and use musket, guns dead g. Bows in meta it hardly got touched stay happy

Your right now was never the problem. People just hate ranged weapons I guess. I play dex and I hate them. I’m just tired of getting 3rd party by some dex player in the back from a far. If anything they should decrease arrow drop off a bit more.
