Whilst not fresh, you can start a new character and probably level it up with the old world content, a chance to revisit places, you’ve not been to for a while, then seeing the massive amount of changes, when the new main story quest line, when Octobers “Brimstone Sands” patch goes live.
Yep, so lets let folks get to 25 and get bored again. Rinse and repeat? We all know the quest chain (if you want to call it that) after 25ish is complete rubbish. But, rushing a release always works out great…
And if you think territory control is fixed, lol…have you even played on the ptr?
I found it incredibly immersive which is why i loved gathering/crafting. Running around in all the different biomes gathering resources was highly enjoyable for me.
I put so much time into this I didnt even feel like i was “leveling up” per se as i simply enjoyed the experience.
Well, you are one of those rare individuals that really enjoys gathering/crafting then. Hopefully your intelligent enough to understand, most players don’t.
You are correct. But, tell me, how will the company cool down improve the game? How will it hurt the game. Since you are so well versed in the PTR, give us your pros and cons please.
Within three months of server creation it will be just like any other server.
This is a MMO where one is rewarded for time invested, you will be farmed by the no lifers in top shelf gear on new start servers and established servers alike.
you do realize that is lines up perfectly with the new leveling experience so they have a real good shot at success by having everyone who is starting over on a fresh start experience how great the game has become?
Along with the territory system changes to hopefully negate mega companies and sweeties taking over and destroying your server in the first 2 weeks?
That’s the real reason you want it because you don’t want to just get dumped on by players better and more geared than you. You want an enjoyable leveling process and to get to experience some wars before metas establish and the best pvpers dictate who gets into wars.
If they put it out tomorrow it’s gonna be a rough unemployable ride for new/returning players and it’ll only leave a bad taste in peoples mouths again.
It is imperative AGS does this right it’s their last chance to turn this game around and build some serious momentum for years to come. Even if it takes time or they delayed fresh starts until November it’s important they do it correctly.
Also they added additional servers because they realize how many accounts will go active that haven’t been the day the update lands so they want to relieve as much server pressure as they can now.
