Social ideas new world could add to the game to give players more reasons to interact with each other.

Poker and Blackjack

Put poker tables and black Jack tables in the taverns. Let people sit 5 to a table and play cards and chat. Let us wager our gold against each other. Have free tables incase people just want to chill without risking gold.

Let us craft poker tables for our houses so we have a reason to invite people into our house. I have never had anyone ever visit my house 2000 hours in because there’s no reason for them to.

Give us the ability to sit in chairs in the taverns, inns, and churches. This should already be a thing.

I like the golden saucer from final fantasy. This one spot where you can go to do daily scratch offs, racing, their card game, the weekly lotto they have. I really love the golden saucer. Steal this idea. It’s great.

I’m trying to think of more off the top of my head but I just wanted to throw this out there and see if it would catch any eyes.

What would y’all like to see to be added as a way to interact with players?

I definitely think that mini games add a LOT of added value, if done right.
WoWs pet battles is the perfect example of how not to do things imho.
The Witcher card game Gwent is a great example of how to do it right.

MMOs have always needed a way of changing the pace of gameplay imho. Whether it’s house building (my favourite is Valheim as you actually build a house out of component parts, then decorate it) you only need give us an instanced plot for this.

Maybe ship building could be one? Then we can build the ship, decorate it and then go off sailing for fish or sea monsters or have ship battles?…. Oooowwww :slight_smile:

Really? That is what had me hooked to WoW for a while. It was like pokemon inside of WoW.

I’m not saying new world needs that, but to have some other competitive game mode besides combat would be a breath of fresh air

I like the idea of pet battles but it was poorly executed imho. Very slow and drawn out for such a simple paper/rock/scissors style game.

If they could create a game style that incorporates a crafting profession it would be good. Even if it were to only craft a gaming table to play on in your house with a friend.

Ya I love the idea of crafting a chess table or poker table and actually having a reason for friends to come to your house.

As long as these pets are NOT included in PVP I’m all for it. Also not pay to win kinda stuff, like buying the strongest pets.

Ya I don’t want any pay to win at all ever in the game.

They could add pets and then sell skins on the store if they wanted.

Or skins for like chess pieces or card decks. I think would be cool.

I just want more social activities in the game that isn’t necessarily combat. I

They literally banned people early days for betting on /rolls lol
It was a fun thing people did before chest runs till they perma’d early lvl 60’s. So people just stopped interacting with each other

I’d love the idea, but no chance they will allow that
