This is the problem with new world very concisely stated.
It is extremely frustrating trying to close with, much less kill, any ranged player. Medium and heavy Melees are completely useless without healers and vg backing them up to heal them and lock people to the ground.
Ranged should not be faster than melee. And their damage should be lower than melees since they can hit from range. We are moving in the wrong direction with these bruiser nerfs. Opr will be just like call of duty after this goes live… no melee in their right mind will set foot in there.
Ags Unfortunately, it does not see the posts. If the update comes this way, there will be no new balances for 2 months and probably everyone will be playing the bow musket in the OPR.
Opr is the man m pvp content that everyone does. Very small percentage do wars and 3s are kinda dead. Ranged is too powerful across the board. There is a reason so many people flock to ramged weapons. Needs to be addressed
LOL you can be 15 meters away with bow or musket and hit for 4k plus on someone with 35resistemce. If you think ranged isn’t overtuned you are literally on copium.
Server has nothing to do with it. Bow player go 350-400 dex or even 450 and they can 3 shot you from any distance. If this doesn’t happen on your server Then be great full
Let me let you guys in on why everyone plays a range in OPR.
First of all The time To Kill in this game is way to fast UNLESS a healer is around. gonna go out on a ledge say 95% of people who que opr are not with a healer. Thus range is the best experience.
Second Melee in this game If they cant kill you in a CC or with grit they run away. WHy? because they never had to use dodge outside of making attacker (opal) stronger and closing gap.
Last The melee snare on hit is oppressive, not fun, short sighted, and is something I have never seen in any game and now I know why.
How you going to kill a bow with a gs swing from 10 or 20 or 50 meters away or 85 meters? Like bow heavies do the same damage as great sword heavies and they can hit from across the map. Firestaff heavies hit on average for 2k, fireballs hit on average for 2500 on targets with 0 fire resistance and it has a perk to increase damage by 58 percent. If you think bow isn’t overpowered your why the game dies. Ranged kills the pvp scene, no if ands or buts about it.
Why is this something new?
This has been going on for a long time, solo players go ranged/safespace. Premades unless they have a healer, go ranged as well, just focus and 1tap each anything on their line of sight.
