Pretty sure its been mentioned in here before but this would be a really cool thing. I would love to have this as an option. Rarely do games make a Solo version for their dungeons.
There is a solo boss in brimstone sands. But a solo dungeon would be good but what build would you focus that off of. A tank build would make it too frustrating for light build players as they would be one shotted most likely, medium build would seem the most logical but could be easily tanked. If you build an expedition based on light build players the tanks would complain about not being fast enough to dodge, catch up to the bosses that run all over the arena that attack and stunlock/slow the tank players too frequently
I suppose using âRemnant: from the ashesâ or greedfall as a solo player dungeon experience would be a good way to gleam some examples of a private game experiences that work with similar mechanics. But even then those games have summoner mechanics that spawn allies to assist the player temporarally.
I think either scaling or when you go in you get npcâs of the missing party. Go in as tank get dps and healer. Go in as dps get healer and tank. Could even get options to rank up said npc party members to make them more powerful.
Just thinking from a only plays solo characters point of view.
I like the idea of Solo dungeons too, but, Iâm sure a lot of the community will say it takes away from the mmo aspect of playing with others. I always enjoyed doing things like the Mage Tower and Torghast(until it got boring) on WoW though.
Perhaps you have mistaken the game type that is New World, A massive multiplayer online game.
These solo experiences you speak of are more commonly found in RPG games.
the complete term for new world is a MMORPG trying to persuade players from trying to play solo is not conducive to trying to cater to all crowds and is really only leaving money on the table as to trying to sell to as many demographics as possible.
it would be interesting to see how a solo dungeon would be created, I would imagine a puzzle heavy experience kinda like portal, but with mobs that attack you to aid in the difficulty but not enough to make the dungeon impossible. besides this game could do with more gimmicky bosses as opposed to the old âhit-it-til-it-dies!â stratagem personally I would love if the staff at ags would do a weekend stream of them playing any dark souls game or preferably blood-borne just to sink a few ideas into their heads. because right now we are simply inching along with very small changes to reskinned enemies and while brimstone is relatively new, thats one region in a game that has very few types of enemies.
Look I get the backlash of the âthis is an MMORPGâ message. I understand where you are coming from.
I am not saying make all dungeons solo only. Just give it an option so the people that like to play the game by themselves can experience some of the content that would otherwise just ignore it.
You cant pick flowers, cut trees and pick mine all day. The game gets very very boring and I know a lot of people who would buy the game if it had this option.
I mean of course you can stick to the old âthis is an MMORPGâ message but why not move with the times.
