Did AGS ever mention anything in regards to solo queues in the Arena mode? I think it is a very important topic, which leads to a lot of frustration. Surely playing in a group would be the solution to this, but not everybody can or wants to play with a group all the time. Arenas are a very fast PvP mode and therefore If you want to play some quick rounds in you can expect to get flattened by pre made groups. I think many PvPers feel the same way and people will just not play the gamemode anymore instead of forming groups. So please AGS give us an answer or somebody link me a thread where they responded to that topic.
Being able to play as a group is good, having to play in a group isn´t.
That would not be possible until OPR and Arenas are not just using the server pop to fill the arena matches.
There is talk of them moving to larger servers over all and there is also discussion about the game moving these to cross server matchmaking down the road.
I guess you could say it is possible, but not without harming group players in return. However I think you have to ask yourself what the bigger harm is atm and I think it also depends on the server you are currently in, but I would generally agree that bigger servers would enable many more solo player friendly fixes. I just hope they move this discussion forward a little bit quicker, because I worry that new players from the July patch may just leave when they get confronted with these issues.
My hope is when they release this patch, they give everyone a free transfer token if their servers population is under (x) OR that they go through and do a drastic server merge. Cause you are right. Low pop servers are not getting a good experience.
yeah that would be the desired outcome, however @ThexCatmanx mentioned the problem of low pop servers and groups would have a hard time finding a match.
I also think that you should only be able to queue for groups with 2 players or you shouldnt be able to queue at all unless you leave the group. If there was a 5v5 mode you could talk about having a squad, duo and solo option but not for 3v3s
Yes! Last time they merged servers to much time passed after the update and people already left, they would need to do it before the update or quickly after the patch went live. Free transfer tokens would also be an option, but many new people would need to face the depressing sight of a dead server before they transfer which could also drop the motivation to transfer and play at all. Thats just how most gamers are
