No, he used sacred ground a few times, barely at all so no life staff is not broken
I’m on server Maramma, but I’ve had the hammer (not super hard to get) for a long time. 2 months ago I was able to kill this commander with my healer friend. At the time I had less than 600 GS, so I did not want to try to solo it yet.
I believe its damage is half physical and half elemental. I also believe the elemental is fire damage. If this is true, fire gems in armor would work a lot better than onyx gems, hence the reason I wanted to test it out with fire gems. I still can’t confirm 100% if he has a mixture of physical and fire elemental damage, but I would say it’s most likely the case.
The problem is not fortify its the sacred ground abuse. +50% heal = gg
Rewatch the video. He uses orb of protection and sacred ground frequently. He gets about a ~10% fortify from each ability. Notice when he fails to use either ability he almost dies. Notice when he uses both abilities he stays at nearly full health.
it’s because his hammer has sustain, trenchant recovery and lifestealing he would’ve died otherwise not because life staff is " broken "
