A lot of people buy game, and have only Linux platform.
This is not a new issueâŚtheyâve had time, 2 years in fact.
Epic Games and Valve announced the new EAC support for wine/proton last week. Itâs definitely a new discussion.
Before the only option to get an EAC title to Linux was either porting it (and using the native Linux version of EAC) or removing EAC. As of a week ago, supporting EAC in proton is a new option.
+1
That reply makes absolutely no sense. Most, if not all Proton games are unsupported by the dev teams and can break and it wonât be up to the devs to fix it unless they previously announced compatibility.
Worth nothing No Manâs Sky, where they have worked on and fixed issues as one of the devs who maybe ahead of the curve :).
Looks like user share on Steam still over a 1% and climbing, thatâs over a million Linux users so far:
This is obviously before Steam Deckâs hit the market, where Valve estimate they will sales millions of those alone.
Interesting times ahead!
+1 for linux support
Iâll give that +1 for me
Itâs super easy now just update EAC SDK to latest and enable proton/wine support
But hey, fellas, itâs been like 5 days since they launched
give them time to work on more important bugs, stabilize the servers and release the character transferâŚ
Would love to see any response from the devs if theyâll give it a shoot⌠atm everytime my game updates on windows i also check if it runs on linux
Cheers
I also keep checking every time they update. My problem is that the only Windows computer i have left right now is my desktop, and i dont have access to it at the moment. That means i dont get to play at all, unless i REALLY like the character creator.
As much as i love NW, im really not wanting to re-install Win10 for a single game.
Just leaving my +1. This would be greatly appreciated. I only have to dual boot windows because of New World.
+1 for Linux activation.
My 2 cents and my +1 for EAC integration on proton Linux
+1, have windows only for new world⌠
+1
Last version of EAC already has support for proton.
just update sdk version in NW and release it
+1 I would be glad if I could play New World on my main Linux system and on my future Steam Deck
+1
Please, just make the âfew clicksâ to enable EAC on linux⌠Proton will do the rest.
+1 for this. I would love to be able to use the SteamDeck with New World.
Only reason i run windows at the moment is New world, and i hate it⌠windows that is, not new world
Please make it happen
+1 to support Linux / Proton / Wine. !!!
Will also be compatible with all M1 Macs and Crossover!
