Hi
I’m sure this is just going to be the latest of many threads on this topic, but I really wanted to put my thoughts out there on this.
The short short version of this is, PVP and flagging up doesn’t give you enough benefits. Why? Let’s be real here, PVP is the main draw of the game, and yet flagging up gives you a measly 5% exp buff and that’s it. It might as well be nothing!
The risk reward factor is completely out of whack with it and it’s no wonder people don’t tend to run around flagged. Even I’ve stopped doing it, and PVP is my main playstyle in online games.
So for my 2 cents, here’s some ideas on how to make flagging up more appealing:
Pre 60 the exp buff should be at least 25%. I don’t even think it would be unreasonable to have it as high as 50%, or more. Pre 60 players without good gear are taking a huge risk running around flagged with more and more endgame geared players around.
Universal luck buff. 5% or 10%, just for being flagged. Gatherers and grinders suddenly have a reason to flag up as well.
And the big one: at 60, it should inflate your gear watermark. Debatable if it should increase it enough that players at the 591 cap could drop 600 gs equipment, but I don’t really think that would be too unreasonable (although crafted gear should ultimately be better than dropped gear imo).
Additionally, I honestly think you shouldn’t be able to loot elite chests unless you’re flagged. This is endgame content, it should be a big source of conflict.
Anyway, hopefully we see some improvements to this. Lemme know what you think.
