What level are you? You can play anything in low levels and be OK but make sure youu pick movement skills in order to be able to escape.
At higher levels you need resilient in you gear as a perk. Get it at low levels if you can find some gear in the trading post.
Also get gear with constitution and put your leveling points to your preferred stat be it strength, dex, int or focus. This way you will be able to be flexible as you try builds and weapons

Ah at level 50 you need resilient perk in every piece of gear. Mages play medium or heavy armor on wars so don’t go light armor.

Both are strictly for wars not 1v1. Check xaryu on utube for 1v1. He is very good.

The IG build given here is pretty decent. I personally would change a thing or two, but thats personal preference.
VG specc is pretty simple. Get everything from the melee tree for starters. Then you can start to experiment.
Go for medium armor since you will be in melee very often and need to be able to take a hit or two.

Both builds are used in high end gear wars between heavily equipped companies. I am not a mage so I couldn’t comment on the details but these are solid 100%

Hi, as others have said VG (void gauntlet) is very good if you select the melee (left hand side annihilation tree). The ranged skills are more PVE (player vs computer) focused and not very impactful (powerful).
You may be better off playing Firestaff if you want to play purely ranged.

what happens is that the idea is to play far away and press in zones. That’s why the mele skill of the empty glove I don’t use.
In wars you will have dedicated melee players chasing you around so you need to be able to survive on melee range.
If you don’t care about wars your strategy is OK.

As someone stated above, you should switch to Firestaff if you want to play purely ranged. The ranged abilities of the Void Glove are pretty bad atm especially in PvP.

I really have several skills in the two gloves to stop people who come to hit me to me right? The only thing I change, is in the empty glove, I use the skill that when they hit that enemy that I mark people are cured. I exchange that skill for the sword
If I know it’s best, make that change. But I like to go with all 2 gloves. That’s why I was looking for a build that allows me to do something in pvp
Ye you can do that but the problem is that a if you fight a good melee player with correct gear like me he will chain stun and burst you before you’re able to do much with the void gauntlet.
Fire stuff gives you a bit better burst. You freeze first, zoning the opponent and then fireball him into oblivion.
You will be fine with most opponents though. Do your thing and enjoy the game.

I understand. Well right now lighting with pvp activated from level 10, the ones that give me problems are the levels 60 that come to hit me. But against people of my level I either kill them or I manage to escape XD.
I will try the other skills of the empty glove because I only need to change the one that transforms into a sword, the others if I use them and I like them. I don’t know which is better to use instead of the sword

You could use something like this - New World Skill Builder - New World Database
Drop oblivion (purple ground ring) scream to root them in place, detonating orb then switch back to ice gauntlet and drop ice shower into ice spike. Could be a great combo.
