A lot of sounds go missing when I go to New Corsica. Some sounds are there, but others are completely muted. For instance, no footstep sounds when walking around but some sounds are heard when interacting with things. I’ve verified the game files in Steam and have the latest drivers installed for my audio device (onboard Realtek). I have also tried changing audio quality settings in the game to 100, 75 and 50, but nothing helps.
I’m sorry to hear you are having issue with the game sound on different locations. Thanks @BRADLEY for notify that this may be an issue since Brimstone’s release.
For basic troubleshooting, on the AGS support page, proceed to check volume levels:
From the Home screen, click the cogwheel icon in the top-right corner. If you’ve already loaded into a world, press Esc and then click Settings.
Select the Audio tab and then adjust the volume as needed.
If this don’t help to fix your issue, please check this troubleshooting steps form Microsoft support page.
I will be waiting for your respond/update.
I hope this have been of help.
Thank you for your understanding and patience. Wish you the best and a nice week.
Thanks for your response. It’s not a volume issue, the problem only occurs in New Corsica, portal anywhere else and sound is back to normal. If there are any hardware/driver details I can provide please let me know.
Thanks for the quick response, so this sound issue affect you on the New Corsica exclusively and everywhere else is working fine.
In that case I’m gonna move your post to the “Bug report” section for better visibility, and I encourage you to contact AGS customer support to rise a ticket; the will request you any information necessary for us to check whats happening.
Have the dxdiag ready in case they ask for it, instructions for generating a DXdiag:
I set my sound playback settings in Windows to 16 bit, 48000hz and that mostly resolved the issue. There are still some sounds missing but it’s not as bad as before.
