Yes they understand the change.

No you get more damage if you put the extra points after 300 into int because of diminishing returns after 300.

You are giving those same musket players either more damage and a 50 bubble or 50 more con so like 2k more hp so they will be even harder to kill.

Firstly, Timeless shards were not in on launch. But I take your point.

I think the problem with split stat isn’t even how much of an advantage (or not) it will give anyone. It’s about the perceived advantage/nerf. AGS can’t really afford to lose more players.

Personally, I feel like the split stat bonus just allows for more diversity in builds. But players will, of course, use it to stack to their advantage as best they can.

Niche??? My company is already talking about 350 str/50 int/150 con melee. This is going to be the big damage meta opposed to the current tank damage on point meta.

You cant hit 350 50 150.

it doesnt work on split CON pieces

You will have 100 points go into your secondary stat that’s not CON. So the only way you are pumping more into strength is if you are taking it directly away from CON.

You could have
350 strength
100 dex
100 con

I’d much prefer my
300 strength
200 con

Or 350 strength
150 con

I’ve actually thought about going dex/int with the new change…not sure about it yet, but it’s nice to know it’s an option!

Yeah. it has me wanting to play a Paladin.

I mean…it would be more viable now!

I was just thinking of adding that extra juicy 10% crit to a dex build with some int gems may be spicy…i dunno.

Chain magic damage has some real potential on this patch.

Honestly, we are barely scratching the surface of the meta shifts.

I get that people are sad that about their “bis”.

I’m but a poor wandering pilgrim thus bis is a pipe dream. I can see how this opens up a lot of builds imho.

But like in all MMO’s BiS is just a temporary thing.

With having to reroll a lot of gear these builds will benefit from this change off top of my head:

Spear / hatchet
Spear/rap
VG/LS
Musket/FS
Musket/rap

Maybe bow/spear , bow/hatchet

I could see maybe bow/rap at least be tested with the following:

350 dext / 50 int / 50 str /100 con

Could see some ele bow users with the following :
350 dext / 150 int / 50 con (use t2 elemental gem)
400 dext / 100 int / 50 con (use t2 ele gem)
Bow would probably hit like a dam truck with that build. But sheesh that’s a lot of work to reroll (especially jewelry)

I’ve been toying around with a ele bow build after the split stats. I’ve always been a fan of dex/int builds and this just makes my day.

Viable? I dunno, but I’m happy to be able to experiment without screwing myself out of my “primary” stats.

I’m thinking 350/50/100

With the ability to swap the ele gem to fit the circumstance. Also…the chain ele perks on different bows will fit different scenarios if I want to get that “deep”. lol

Make sure to try some str too, that 10% base could kick ass also

if you go full glass at best you get 250 int for increased ability/spell duration which i have no clue if it works or not.

otherwise 150 int 300 dex + and the rest in con could be useful? but someone did testing on it before you do mroe dps with max dex even with the diminishing returns. it might be closer now but it will require new testing

if you talking 50 int its still impossible.

Currently split stat equipment on live is

15 primary 10 secondary for armor
20 primary 10 secondary for weapon

That mean 10x10 for the secondary attributes already.

You can’t do 50 secondary.
