The other reason why I think it is 2 a piece, is because SnS always causes problems as the stats are split across 2 items. Meaning the increase needs to be even. So it’s either 2 or 4, and 4 would be significant, so thats why I think it is 2.
It mostly helps cheese builds like ss/hatchet, or ig/bb. Imagine going 300 str / 200 dex / 50 con on hatchet…you melt everything and get away with it. I mean I understand they wanted to make split stat gear worth something but instead of balancing the game they make it worse
Ok, I did some test in game with my gear and you’re right. Dual stat weapons gain less dmg. I always thought it was the opposite. Starting from a base of 36 dexterity and going up from there, the difference was more in the range of 5% less dmg gain for full glass cannon builds (50 constitution and the rest in dmg), which was what I was referring to when I said they were doing more dmg, but it’s still less compared to single stats weapons.
This won’t happen unless they increase it to 4 extra points per piece. Highly unlikely, since the last stat point increase… i.e. 625 was only 1 per piece. Would be a strange turn for them to make this 4 per piece, after being so conservative with 625.
Under our theorised stat increases, should only be possible to get to 300/200/35.
Knowing AGS they are going 4 stat points per piece.
-30% nerf to heavies with a life staff is not considered ‘extreme.’
Combat team plays combat in a vacuum. Which is why these things seem ‘reasonable’ to them on paper.
Heavy players saying “Heavy WH GA unviable.” And then turn around and say “Heavy LS OP.”
It’s heavy. On god. Same issues different weapon.
I hope not.
“Hey you know what would be cool?”
Split stat with 550 points to work with.
300 Dex/245 INT BiS muskets LETS GOOO.

You have no idea how much i want to see a full 50 v 50 musket line war. full blown civil war reenactment.
only thing missing is a drummer weapon option.
“Pure stat clowns”
What else am I supposed to run on focus you fucking retard?
Holy shit you are one of the dumbest posters on this board.
Constitution? If you run nothing else, this change doesn’t effect you.
Has it been explicitly stated its a NET increase?
Because right now at certain thresholds of GS split stat items get less. For instance From 547-599 GS 2 stat items only have 23 stats as they are 14/9. While single stat items are +24 from 578-599.
This has always hurt split stat items, of course largely prior to umbral shards existing. The benefit is they also got their 600+ +1 stat earlier than single stats.
But that -2 stats very much so hurt reasons to use split gear prior to umbral shards. When they said they were increasing stats from this I just assumed they were fixing the parity between these.
There is little reason to give split stat items more overall stats.
Constitution doesn’t get effected by this change.
Well aware Constitution isn’t affected. As i said, if you are a primary stat build (focus/con) you aren’t going to be overly concerned with these changes. Especially healers.
The reasoning behind it is to allow more constitution threshold abilities be availible for multi attribute builds, or 300 builds to be semi viable. A small increment of damage is only there because it’s the end result of the suspected 20 additional points. Ultimately, the damage is meaningless. In some builds you won’t ever notice it. It’s a fair trade, being only 2%
It’s the internet. If you judge the validity of discussions based on people using proper punctuation then it’s likely you’ve rejected far more intelligent lines of reasoning than you’ve accepted.
Of all the reasons to attempt to invalidate someone’s position this is - without a doubt - one of the most nonsensical.
PS…
…reiterate is one word.
