I love these kind of answers everytime something went wrong, fix didnt fix anything or when people are asking for patch notes today but there is no patch. Like major issues still are not fixed since day 1… Day 1 of beta.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but you said the bugs were here since “Day 1 of Beta”, so that means you been playing ever since. What’s giving you the courage or patience to keep playing ?.
I mean it’s Insanity to keep doing the same thing and expecting a change that won’t happen?
If the community manager can copy / paste his replies to every critical topic then either he is not doing his job right or more likely he is put into a position he can’t do his job right.
There seems to be a lot of communication issues going on within the company itself, let alone to us.
You lot have never been anywhere near a large scale IT project and it shows… do you have any idea what is involved and how these things work? What sometimes might seem like a minute thing from the users perspective can take weeks to address… computers don’t have a consciousness, all of the simple decisions that you can make in your head can be very complicated to implement.
It’s in their interest to address these issues and if they say they’re working on them - they are. Creating more noise about the issues will just force the management layer to cut corners and make rash decisions which ultimately just lead to poor implementation and more issues down the line.
Well I have. But this topic isn’t about the difficulty of addressing issues but with the way they communicate about it without really communicating.
If they were honest before hand with the difficulty about transfers for example and people knew it would take them 4 weeks or more to complete, most of us would have started a new char on week 1 and the issue was becoming irrelevant.
They digged this hole themselves because of miscommunication and over promising and the problem is getting worse.
It’s very obvious that this is Amazon’s first game. They not only understaffed it, but the staff doesn’t even know how to communicate with the community of the game. Terrible blunder that will tarnish the name Amazon in gaming forever.
Well, if it really is, it’s not a very good team, if we’re honest. Based on the things that went unfixed in the last 4 weeks, not much (if anything) was achieved.
Then you should know how hard it is to estimate things accurately, especially when those things are new. Which is why you mostly see estimates of “Q1/Q3 2021” rather than specific days or months… the fact they’re turning this around in weeks shows a great commitment. You lot just expect everything to be handed to you on request, things don’t operate like that in the real world.
And if you’re not able to estimate them, how can you expect them to say something else other than “it’s our priority and we’re working on it”?
what i dont understand is how the description on perks, attributes, skills, weapons, armor, cannot be trusted.
it’s not as if they have to TEST these things they just need to copy-paste (what they are good at) whatever number they’ve inserted into the code into the description.
why do players need to figure out by testing how much damange a skill actually does (if any)?
