Standing Gather Card Should NOT Be Fixed – My Take on It

Holy crap. It’s not that big of an issue. Calm down ffs.

I’m pretty sure most of us here are calm. It is an issue though, and it is a big deal because this a chance for a studio to actually change direction and decide not to bug fix this, but rather make it intended (as long as it doesn’t harm the experience - which it doesn’t, at least in my opinion).

I was actually so mental to prepare before launch which card to pick when.

I had the perfect (for me) plan prepared to evenly distribute each point considering diminishing returns and XP softcap.

Then they fixed a bug with card 10 (house ownership) and now the order of cards is messed up.

This and the new gathering speed feels very bad for me.

Please let us reroll.

Tip: Only invest points in storage & taxes/prices of crafting/trading anyway. Gather speed & XP gains & standing gains is a complete waste of points.

I found a bug report post on the forum about in from Oct 1st, no comment from AGS on the report.

i for one would like it to be gathering yield not speed on the standing bonus card. that was the only reason i was really farming standing level in the territories that i was so that i could make the 100% bonus and get double rares. now its kind of a let down that i cant do that anymore, but im still out gathering

The game has been this way since the beginning. I’m not sure why they felt to pile on another nerf to crafters. This is a game for crafters, but they seem to keep nerfing it into the ground and making it so it takes more and more materials, and it’s harder and harder to get them. Why? Please roll this change back.

I’m with you. Us hardcore players that pushed for double procs are probably all quitting.

I’m not even a hardcore player yet this change left a really sour taste in my mouth.

Yeah, i totally agree! I first wondered whats going on, now the low amount i get from gathering makes sense. I spend almost every time if possible points in gathering speed!
It feels near pointless to farm orichalcum now for example!
Would love to see a fix coming soon to this.

This topic can’t just die now… Totally agree with you, I was wondering why I am getting much less resources when I went to Everfall to farm some trees after a while (I got highest TS there).

Revert the change or give all players respec on territory standing points. I literally picked that (now uselss) card everywhere, it was in almost every New World tutorial as a must have for gatherers.

As a full-time gatherer I am devastated. After all these days it doesn’t even look like raw low tier resources prices went up anyhow on my server, prices looks pretty much the same for me. That was the only hope for me, because hey even if they cut out 30% of my gathering yield then if prices are up about the same amount then we are good. But no. Really don’t want to play anymore. More grind to get the same effect.

They should have just changed the word speed to yield. It is still gathering speed boost when it gives yield anyway - you get mats faster, so it is speedier. We have tools that give us all the speed we need. It should not be faster per node, it should be yield.

How do we not have enough people upset about this? Speed is literally nothing… I farmed 36.3% speed in 4 territories. Now it’s useless. I want a card respec and to bring back double procs!

Maybe they didn’t notice… To be honest I realized like week or two after change, it hit me suddenly since I was doing a lot of stuff on low TS maps.

Maybe they don’t care busy with typical 60lvl stuff… I think bots fill the gap for us, gatherers, perfectly… :smiley:
