Last time I played, I could have sworn there were literally maybe 2 dozen or more Starmetal nodes along Vega Bridge. Now there are maybe a half dozen and all but a couple had been mined.
Yes, bots were reported vacuuming up the nodes, but in removing the nodes, you have screwed legitimate players as well.
Did you also forget your ridiculous materials pyramid scheme where piles of materials are needed just to refine a single ingot of high-level ore?
And the terrible RNG that makes most of the items you craft have the “wrong” traits so you have to try again and use up mats again?
If you’re going to just be lazy about bots, instead of also screwing legitimate players, just disable all trade instead. The game is playable if a player gathers their own materials and makes their own goods without having to buy anything from the Trading Post. But it is a lot LESS playable if materials can’t be gotten in reasonable quantities.
Options:
- Allow only Expedition Drops to be traded / sold; everything else is bind on pickup
- Do the Bless Unleashed solution of randomly spawning a monster when a node is gathered; you could spawn an Angry Earth critter appropriate to the zone level and the type of node
