Starstone Mutated Completion time and Mob count are not inline with other mutations

I fully admit it will be possible to improve the speed on our Startsone runs… it’s a new dungeon that we can’t practice outside of mutations…

Still… every run I’ve had so far has not come in over the 35 minute time… We’re not dying and we’re steadily moving and making big pulls where we can. Plus… our last run we not only were slow on the time but we were 3 mobs under the 120 requirement as well.

Tempest runs usually take us 30-40 minutes but we have an hour… I just don’t feel like this time and mob requirement is on the same level as other dungeons.

I think starstone should be bumped up to 40 minutes at least… We will run it faster in time just for the sake of running it faster anyway, but to have a solid run with some big pulls and not make the time just isn’t on par with the rest of the mutations imo.

The time is right, and it is even time for more.
I have run up to m10. All the levels I have completed between 20 to 25 minutes, up to m7.
from the m8, m9 and m10 up to 30 minutes. that is, the highest level mutated I have 5 minutes left over.
In addition to killing all the mobs and collecting all the farmer.
And all this, with random groups from the group finder. I have not yet done it with my fixed group of friends, since they will be able to on the weekend.
just practice and see that there are skippable mobs, and there are pull strategies. I recommend a lot of area damage (fire mage, ice, great axe, etc).

I’d say this is an argument in favor of the change if a M10 Genesis can be done in less than 15 minutes and an experienced player such as yourself is hitting 20-25 on a M7 or lower.

Like I said… we’ll get there… I have no doubt, but every other dungeon I’ve run we only failed on time if we had a wipe or just had a weak group…Pretty sure I had an M6 Tempest in like 35 minutes. I just don’t think starstone is feels good with the 35 minute timer compared with the other mutations.

We did M10 in 32. M8 and lower were def faster. Thats with having to stop to be out of combat to change gear twice. Maybe try with some other groups and some light DPS

I know you guys are disagreeing with me, but like… M10 in 32… how fast do you run M10 in Tempest or Gen or any other Mutation? is it with 3 minutes to spare or more like 10-15 minutes to spare?

100% doable, don’t get me wrong… I’m saying it’s not comparable with the other dungeons… also possible my dps guys just aren’t specced for ancients, since apparently I’m the only one with this opinion.

I run m10 gen around 16-17 min but that is no tank and 50 con light dps. Not your average group… Dynasty is same

Laz for example takes around 30 but alot of that is waiting for spawns and chardis to go through all its animations. So that would probably be closest to time.

The m10 star was not with same group but group had full set ancient and full set lost with bane weapons for both.I think we can get star under 30 once we figure out exactly what can be skipped. Personally I think the time is right, you need a good run to get gold which is how it should be. The last boss in star is by far the easiest and you should be killing in under 2 min. I would see where you are at by the end of the week, as more figure out pulls and skips I bet your times go down

I 100% agree, all other mutations seem to give us 5-10min extra just in case a mess up, so 40-45 min would definitely be best for this mutation. Also not all groups have the best DPS to run m10s at 32min :frowning:

I agree. I run this on M10 with pugs using GF and it will be either Gold or Silver and the completion time is always between 32-35+ mins.

The whole dungeon feels like its forcing you to rush and skip past certain groups of mobs which I dont believe makes for a great game experience.

The run can go smoothly with no deaths but if you arent doing the usual “strat” which is skipping past mobs during certain areas and doing pulls…your chance of getting gold is slim to none. The dps can be on point but its a flip of the coin if you get under 35 mins or not. I feel that it should be at least 40 mins.

The dungeon itself isnt difficult but with the 35 time limit just does nothing but forces you to truck through the dungeon and skip mobs which isnt enjoyable to me imo.

Take Tempest for example. I feel that i can easily sit back and do that dungeon on M10 without to thought of rushing through it because it gives you more than enough time to complete it within the hour limit.

It’s great to finally see I’m not the only one!!

Now that the TP is back up and we got some trophies etc. we have been able to gold up to 6 within our little band of fresh starters…so like I always said, it is definitely doable.

However, the time limit is still 100% the biggest obstacle. We skip mobs and learn to be efficient in all the mutations we run, but this is the only one where this feels 100% necessary and it’s down to the wire every single time.

On genesis we’ve gotten gold and come in under time even if the torch carrier drops the torch before the last boss and has to go back to get it. In Starstone, we are stressing over the boss opening animations and wondering if those 10 second animations would make the difference or not.
