I think Square as a company also learned a lot from FFXI. In the beginning the communication was very one sided, few and far between posts, and all around not good. Over time it got better and about 7 years later it was in a pretty OK place. XIV though took a huge hit with 1.0 failing and Yoshi-P came onboard ready to fix it.
Him and the team have done an amazing job. They’re all way too dedicated to their jobs. I am really looking forward to Endwalker next month. I won’t be surprised to see server populations drop from it either. I won’t be here. Hopefully by early next year Amazon will have sorted this out more and I can come back to a better game. If not, well there’s good stuff coming next year.
I’m looking at armory right now. I can’t recall any item that got increased Exp. But I can tell, the Exp required to level is much higher now.
I’m stuck at 148 Armory. 1-2 hours of gathering used to get me like 4 levels. Now, 3 hours of gathering barely moved that exp bar. Gonna have to make Silk gloves now, but seems Enormously inefficient and several times more expensive.
I’d appreciate better ideas and corrections but it seems armory is brain tumor now.
I really hope they aren’t changing how hard it is to level furnishing because grinding that solo to 150 was already painful enough, trying to go from 150-200 is going to be my death bed
If they increase that I’m just gonna stop leveling it. Lol
Furniture making will not be changed. Armoring/Weapon Smithing/Engineering will be 10% harder to level, jewel crafting and cooking will be 15-20% harder to level.
Yeah I know the numbers don’t match my experience. Maybe I’m just perceiving an increase in exp requirement as said nerf. But this is NW where nothing works as it says lol How many numbers have we seen showing the wrong thing? Many…
I’m not home to verify but I do know that in live Infused Silk Gloves give about 1.3k experience and in the PTR they give about 4.8k experience. So if this isn’t the case in live then they have not made the changes yet.
The issue for me with crafting is that the special gear from starmetal to orich is very lacking and the tier 4 primary reagent drop rates are very poor .
I get the replica equipment is primarily intended for raising skill via expedition missions but none of the other recipies offer anything worth using
